Hello Friends,

I have not received any email from CIC regarding my application.

However when I checked my ecas status today, its updated saying 'In process' and I will be receiving my AOR and Discover Canada booklet soon.

Congratulations :) Good luck

I am sorry to hear the return... CELPIP general LS!!! - is it enough? They accept CELPIP-G only, see below from the instruction guide:

Language proof if you are 18-54 years of age

Select one of the following types of proof to submit with your application:

Results of an accepted third-party test at the equivalent of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB/NCLC) / Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiensFootnote 1 level 4 or higher in speaking and listening either done previously for immigration purposes (acceptable even if expired) or done specifically for citizenship purposes. Test results from the following list are acceptable:
Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program General Test (CELPIP-G), not the academic version or the CELPIP-General LS two-skill (listening and speaking) version of the CELPIP general test.

It says; not the academic version or the CELPIP-General LS two-skill (listening and speaking) version of the CELPIP general test.

When CIC said it is NOT; how you said it is acceptable? or may be I am missing some thing here?

This is from same website but another page, clearly saying only CELPIP-G is acceptable.

English
CELPIP: Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program

CELPIP has three tests: “CELPIP-General (CELPIP-G),” “CELPIP-General LS (CELPIP-General LS), and “CELPIP-Academic (CELPIP-A).” You must take the “CELPIP-G” test.

It depends on how you read/interpret the sentence. CIC does not accept Academic versions of these language tests anymore CELPIP, IELTS etc.
It accepts the general version of CELPIP OR the LS version. A check on the CELPIP site does advertise the fact that LS is accepted by CIC

I believed so too until OP return; now seems to me like another recent silent change, like disappearance of work history in citizenship application form.

Who uses CELPIP-General LS Test Results?

The CELPIP-General LS Test is accepted by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) as a measure of listening and speaking proficiency for those applying for Canadian citizenship.

Though CELPIP site advertised it but washed their hand in advance saying:
Please note that CIC may change the language requirement at any time. For more information, please visit the CIC website at www.cic.gc.ca.

Congrats to all Augustians who have received AOR or file in-progress.

But could you please update your data in the Google spreadsheet for Citizenship Applications 2014? It's easier to track for all of us who are waiting. Thanks.

Congrats!

Can you please share with us the sender's email address for the AOR email so that we can assure we don't end up having it in our Spam/Junk mail?
