Gosh my security check was finally clearly and I received PPR last night...

Finally, the wait is over. Got PPR yesterday it came to my lawyer in Canada.

Congrats guys on the completed process... Just wondering is there any one else left ? I am one of the Aug 2012 applicant and still waiting for my PPR.
This wait is kinda killing me more than 18 months . Me and mywife had our medical done last year and even in my GCMS notes everything is Passed
Eligibility , Criminality & Medical it doesn't show me any thing about security though.

Seniors please share what is taking so long ?

Baham, your application is probably stuck in a very long security check. Have you emailed CIC to ask them? You can also speak to your MP, who would be able to find out for you. There were a couple of applicants from July who recently received their PPR, and had really long security checks. Also, you may want to post on the thread below, which is for Pakistani applicants undergoing longer security checks:

I am nov 2012 applicant got my AOR after 2 months since then nothing
file is under review . plz tell me what to do. gcms notes says the same thing. Mp said they are working on my eligibilty . what to do..its under review for almost 5 months

Really appreciate your comment spookyb. I think you are right and yes i have contacted CIC couple times and they said " We are waiting on your background checks " but seriously is it that long ? wao i was not expecting this. I did talk to my MP and he is trying to get some information lets see what happens :/

You will get through soon, don't lose hope. There is no control or say when applicant's file go through background/security checks. It could take 1 month to who knows till when. But once checks complete you will get PPR. I had to wait forever to get my PPR.

I applied in late July 2012 and just got my pr visa stamped last week. Similar process (extremely long security check due to frequent travel) but it will eventually gets cleared. Cheer up man
