Yes, my sponsor. Cic hotline agent said that our sponsorship ws approved and its sent to my VO. Try to call them.

Hey first of all I want to thank you for your suggestion of calling the CIC! I got 1st stage approval on Oct 11! I feel so relieved now!!! Its weird because they said they sent me the emails, and the email address was correct... and I checked my junk mail everyday too... so it was weird that it still got lost somehow?

Hey same thing happened to me... I didn't even receive anything from CIC... but I called the call center this morning and they said I was approved as a sponsor!

I got 2nd stage AOR!

It's curious, in the email it said they will take between 10 and 12 months to process my application, and to contact them if I haven't heard from them a year from now. On here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-spouses.asp it says they take 15 months...

What do you guys think I should believe in? the 12 or 15 months range?

I'm going for 12!

Yeah, go with the one they sent in the letter!

In Domincian Republic, the posted time is 14 months for second stage on the cic processing times, but in the email they sent, they say second stage is between 6 months- 12 months.... and on top of that, most people it seems (in a large group I'm in) get processed around the 8-10 month mark including first stage, and a fair amount even faster than that.... So faster is always possible!

Little question. do u all have a line say: "medical results have been received" I got approval on 25 of September, but i just got updated this above information. does that mean anything?

Same thing happened to me, Linh. My ecas never said anything about medical received until it was updated after sponsor approval. Not sure why, but now that it's there I think it's a good thing.
