My husband finally went to the embassy and handed in his passport this morning. He is returning at 3pm to pick it up with the PR visa inside!!!!!! YIPPIEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll post again when it's officially in his hands! :D

Congrats!! Any idea when he could be landing?

Hi all !

Just so share some awesome news with you - my husband got his visa on November 22nd, and he landed in Canada just 2 days ago, December 2nd ! ;D
Immigration officer only asked him to confirm the address where they will send his PR card, and he had to sign on few spots, and off he went :) !
I wish all of you good luck with your applications, and speedy completion of those! :)

P.S. louie_ann, please update the spreadsheet - thank you!

Yes, very fast. The embassy is going crazy there. They are approving people like mad. I don't know if something is brewing (like maybe a big change), or if they're just finishing before Christmas, or maybe they're getting all the applications out of the way that don't involve the new conditional status... who knows! But I hope everyone else will have the same quick processing as us!
Thank you!

I've "heard" that the offices have a certain quota of applications to process (either approve or deny) per year. December is getting close... could be the reason for the speed up.

HUGE CONGRATS on the super super fast processing. I'm soooooo jealous. Wish u the best!!!

I think we can say jealousy is a natural thing to feel, under the circumstances :P :P

Yayy congrats everyone!! =D What a great present to get right before the holidays!

Yes, he has the visa in his hands now!

Not sure when he'll land but we're aiming for January 17th. In the next few days we'll discuss the things he needs to tie up and hopefully that should be enough time so I can purchase the flight!

Please update the spreadsheet to say visa issued on December 4th.

From the date to CIC received his app to when the vo approved it, was 3 months and 3 days!

Those are amazing numbers. Your office usually takes around 14 months, right?

I was reading the stats for Santiago office, and we have a 1 in 2 chance of getting my PR approval in April. Can't wait!!

Yes Cic says 14 months, but when I got aor from the visa office that letter said 6-12 months for second stage.

Hopefully yours is April or earlier!

Amazing Tink23!!!! SOOO envious. But so happy for you!!

Thank you everyone :D I hope you all have the same luck soon!

Seriously, when I first submitted the application I thought that I would be one of the last ones here waiting because my visa office was one of the longer ones compared to the majority here (obvi not including singapore or islamabad), but it feels good to be finished! I'll definitely be sticking around here to see how everyone else does. I've been reading about this immigration process for easily over 2 years and I find it very interesting. I don't think I could give this website up!

good for you coz you have already youre visa,,untill now here in phils we dont have yet our ppr request,,i hope this december we can have it..:)congratulations to you once again tink23.:)

Thank you!

OOoooo, Ecas changed this morning. It now include my husband's home address as my address in Canada. Before it only said the mailing address. Still says In Process though. Silly Ecas!

:o my office takes 14 months too, and my VO AOR email said the exact same thing.
Is it too naïve to be optimistic? :P

ps: hubby said he'd rather get the PR around March next year, so that he can avoid winter in its entirety ::) lol, priorities!!

They started processing our application in Paris On Nov 29 please can u update :)
