WOW! That is soooo wonderful. How exciting! Best of luck to you two! :) And best of luck to everyone else. I hope we are all lucky and things move fast.

Wow Congrats essex!!

I have one more question: I mentioned in a previous post, that a September applicant´s medicals have already been received, mine are not yet. Ok, I´m not worried about that anymore. What worries me is that his application is already "in process" while mine has only been received, even though I sent my application 2 weeks before. I´m happy for him, but worried about myself. I thought the VO is working on a "first come first serve" basis? Or maybe ecas is not reliable on that as well and it has not been updated yet? We are going through the same VO.

My Address Appear again,, Does it mean anything???

congrats Essex. We too, my wife received her passport received on Nov 17. I still can't believe it, after reading the email 100th time.
Thank you for the support & the spreadsheet is very helpful.

Congrats brighton!! London sure is speedy...hoping all VOs follows suits!

Waikiki, dont worry about it, mine doesnt say IN PROCESS either, perhaps the Officer who took our piles of files arent as meticulous about updating ecas as the other Officers.

Waikiki I will say this based on my own experience. This is my second application and you will never know the status of your app until you hear from the immigration officer working on your case by sending you a letter with AOR, more info request or just PPR. I tell you this because I've called CIC call centre and everytime I did I got different answers, ECAS was never updated either. I believe your app is being process and you will hear good news soon, you just have to wait a little more. I read people who ECAS was always saying "IN PROCESS" or "APP RECEIVED" and they already had a Visa on their Passports.
Take a deep breath and wait for letters, I don't think ECAS is a reliable thing.

GOOD LUCK!

Congrats Brighton..

London office undoubtedly is very quick...

My wife's address also reappeared .... :D

our sponsorship was approved on Oct. 28 and file was transferred to ND on the same day and it just says "application received for permanent residence" on August 22, 2011.

And then when I checked e-cas today, it had my address here in Canada, but no updates.

I'm glad they at lest have my address up now, hahaha!

Chill guys, I think the appearance and disappearance of addresses on ecas is a random computer program function or something that gets changed or not when the VO checks on our files again, which have been marked with a certain BFD (bring forward date).

For example: They have asked Client XYZ to send more evidence and have given the client 2 months to gather and send the new evidence to them to prove relationship. It is updated on our electronic files (which then maybe does the random address vanishing/appearing) and marked with a BFD on our hard copy files. Let's say the request was sent out by the VO on October 31, 2011, the VO will mark the file with a BFD of December 31, 2011 or a week after to see if Client XYZ has sent in the required evidence. If Client XYZ sent out the evidence before the two months are up, let's say a month after on November 30, 2011, then the VO disregards the December 31 BFD and updates the electronic file and hard copy file. Another BFD is assigned for the final review then, or any other action they might have.

Once again, we have to be a bit realistic here: If you know that they are waiting on a document for you which takes a year or so to be released, then there's going to be multiple BFD's and random address changes.

It might be relevant to what you are saying. But there are many cases on this forum that I come across when they get something ( PPR/AOR/ document request) shortly after the address gets disappeared from applicant's Ecas.

So it was just a positivity rather than impatience. :D :D
