Glad to hear you've finally had some news Ayad, and that you don't have to wait a further 3 months!

Congrats Essex, and Brighton, and anyone else who's just receiving a PPR. London seem to be racing through them at the moment, that's fantastic. Here's hoping we all get news soon!

hopefully i get something by dec 1 and they send the application to syria already... few questions once it goes to syria damscus have people experienced it finishing fast and also.. when they ask for you ppr does that mean your file is almost done and what other stages is there when it goes to syria????

@ Ayad

Once you file gets transferred to Damascus, it's 13 months.

I don't believe that cuz I have lots of family here and it takes about 3 or 6 monts and there here and I'm talking same family same place living wise and the same cuzin that did all other application so If it gets sent to Syria sometime dec she wil be here mayish or June or even maybe before that

I don't think anyone knows how long they just say 13 cuz that's the max but it's 5 or 6 months I know for facts

@ Ayad

CIC's website says so. It's up to you if you want to believe it or not. I'm just giving you what's out there.

There are unique cases where the process is completed within the given time frame or less, for instance, New Delhi's time frame
according to CIC's website is 6 months but people have either completed the process in 4 months or some go beyond and it's 8

I really hope it will be faster than what they write online as well for all of us. Some are slower and some quicker-too many factors to predict really. Trying to keep positive. This forum has been a great help!

hi Guys,

i want to call to call center for know what happened with my Application,

My wife got a sponsorship approved on 27 Oct but after that there is nothing. no notification or not any Updates, not even File transfer.

so now i thinking to call from India.

Can you plz help me where should i call and on What Number????

To call the call centre you need to be in Canada. The number is on their website. If your sponsorship has been approved then to get updates you need to call the VO and they will update you.

That is because 6 months is their 80% mark. Just to clarify:

New Delhi's time frame is 6 months to finish 80% of applications. That means 80% will be finished in 6 months or less, and 20% will actually take longer than that.

Damascus's time frame is 13 months to finish 80% of applications. That means 80% will be finished in 13 months or less, and 20% will actually take longer than that.

Just to let everyone know ecas sucks lol
Mine went from 'application receievd' to 'decision made' No 'in process', thats funny i didnt know you could make a decision about something if you dont process it lol.
I've come to learn something from doing this process, it's gonna take as long as its gonna take no amount of worrying is gonna make it go any faster. As long as you do evetything they ask theres not a lot more you can do untill the time they state.
I know some of us are lucky that we get to spend the time with our loved ones during the process but at the end of the day we are all trying to have a better life and stressing about it wont help.
I wish everyone good luck for those who are still to hear and for those who have already landed.
The one main thing we have to focus on is at the end of this all we will be with our loved ones in a wonderful place :)
Sorry for the blah blah guys on a bit of a high today lol
