hey guys.....

i have a few problems that i m facing hope someone can help me :

1. I want to get copies of my employment contracts attested but the notaries of dubai courts ( gusais or barsha branches) have refused saying that it should be in the presence of the signatory of first and second party which is not feasible at the moment coz u know how it works in dubai the sponsors are the one who sign on the contract and i m talking about contracts from 2 previous employers.

2. the employement contracts are not completely in english so i will get them translated in english ..is it ok if i send just the original translations to London visa office.

3. i have to get one of my degrees attested from india( the multi layered attestation process)..its not possible for me to go personally...can anyone recommend a good private company that provides attestation services and any idea about the charges.

4. also people who have worked in dubai , where did they get the experience letters attested?? Is it in the ministry of external affairs? what supporting documents have to be shown to get the copies attested?? has anyone send the copies of employment contracts and experience letters without attestation and london visa office accepted that ??

i know too mnay queries......

thnx in advance

Lova

I sent those w/out attestation & had no issues. However, the procedure says it needs to be.
The edn certs can be attested at the respective consulates, I believe. Check it out.

I also need to attest the photocopy of my documents in Dubai for migration purposes to Canada , May I know where I can get this done?

visit some canadian immigration services office in dubai, and request them for attestation. They normally do, but may charge 25 or 30 darhams for attestation.

hi lova ,
this is my experience ....
refrence letter from employer needs not be attested .. it should be original on letterhead with stamp and contact info .... this is what i did it got accepted .....

initially you dont need to send uae employment contract unless specifically asked ... i did not ..... better to send pay slips or stubs .. originals instead ....

you can send true/sertified/attested copies of school transcripts and passports ..... marriage certificate birth certificate etc ...
if you are indian ..... indian consulate will make true/certified copies here in dubai of passports birth certificates and educational and marriage certificates .... provided they are first attested by them .....(except passport no need attestation but has to be indian)....
to attest the documents by indian consulate it has to carry the seal of either ministry of foreign affairs Dubai or respective state home department from india ......

attestation is a long process but it gets done ..... be ready to spend some money on getting all this done .....

go to consulate attestation section (handled by VFS) in indian consulate dubai .... they will give precise information ... there is a guy in the info counter called mitlesh ... got south indian guy ... be nice and he will surely help and sort things out ......

all this is from personal experience .....and what i did ...... worked out for me .... haven't got the visa yet .... hoping for the best ...
hope this helps.
good luck

I faced this dilemma in November. The last resort i took was booking a Air Arabia ticket to Mumbai. Landed in Mumbai and went to Bandra Court. Opposite the court there are lots of notary shacks. Did my entire job. Paid just rs 450/- .Next day came back to Dubai and sent my entire package to visa office. Hope my experience helps those in distress. In Dubai running around helter skelter i would have lapsed my 120 days limit period.

Hi Lova, Labour contracts concluded in the UAE can be attested by the Labour office of the certain Emirate. Just bring a copy / original Labour contract to Labour office, pay 130 AED (not sure if that's exact amount) and they will attest it for you. The attestation looks like a sticker with signature. Notaries here do not work like in other countries; the idea here is the money to be paid to Government instead of private persons.
Hope this helps.

thnx a lot everyone for your inputs ..

I have got my experience letters attested by ministry of foreign affairs and will get them attested by indian consulate....

as per my degrees to be attested i have found a good contact in Delhi ..who will help me with the multi layered process of attestation and will get all by next week...

but one thing i have learned that in Dubai its and ordeal to get these things done, and the major problem here they will not attest anything here which is not in arabic..

anyhow i will be sending my documents by first week of march maybe 3 or 4 ...my deadline is 18th march....that shouldnt be a problem , right??
