Hi
My medical exams expired and a month later says we already passed them again....
Someone in the same situation???
Same like mine, my medical expired May 1st, 2020. By June 2nd, my profile says medical passed.
So I guess they automatically extended it.
Still waiting for the PPR email though. Aor: June 8th, 2019. FSW-O, visa office- Montreal

You mentioned earlier that your profile says medical passed, then why would you need to redo medical again?

I submitted my medical with self-employed application, I completed medical but wonder if IRCC will accept it and extend its validity or should I request or wait. Would hate to have to re-do it because of IRCC's delay and no fault of my own. Thoughts appreciated.

What interests me about all this is the new landing date. If you are asked to get new medicals, and you receive the second notification that they are passed, how long does IRCC give you to land in Canada?

Do you then have an entire year to go, or do they give you a specific date before which to land?

Did you asked for extension?

Ndvo is known to ask to redo medical when they know that processing the application might take more time. Even I was asked to redo medicals one month before expiry.
Redo medical will occure in same
Way which we followed earlier means have to visit again?

Hi,

Here is our experience with IRCC/NDVO

Passport Request: 12 MAR 2018
Passport Send on 16 MAR 2018
Medical expiry : 11 APR 2018
Got call from NVDO : 30 MAR 2018 & 3 APR 2018 for Medical Clarification ( retake or would be able to fly on or before 11 APR 2018)
NVDO send back the Passport : 04 APR 2018
Re-medical : 09 APR 2018
Resent the passport : 09 APR 2018
Medical approved : 17 APR 2018

Your Dr has to upload IME form to IRCC , in our case it took 5 working days, and in a day or two , medical status got changed to " Medical Passed".

As a proactive steps from IRCC might have requested for re-medical which will help you to get enough duration in Visa( Visa stamping date depends on ur medical expiry date) for ur first entry to Canada.

Hope that i answered.

Rgds,
After how many days they will ask you to redo medical from your expired medical?

Hello all.. I have a question regarding passport expiry and medical exam. My passport expires in 6 months however I just received a medical exam request. Does the validity of the medicals extend beyond my passport expiry or is tied together? Thank you
