Asked to redo the medical examination

Hello

I was asked to redo medical examination even before my current medical exam expired. The expiry date of my current medicals is over a month away from the request date. Also my background check is in process right now. Does anyone have any idea why they requested new medicals before its expiry date? And also how much times does it take if I get my fresh medical examination done to reach Ircc?

Thanks

Not sure about the reason why did they ask but generally once they draw blood it may take 7 to 10 days to submit the result. Please doubt check.

Hi,

Here is our experience with IRCC/NDVO

Passport Request: 12 MAR 2018
Passport Send on 16 MAR 2018
Medical expiry : 11 APR 2018
Got call from NVDO : 30 MAR 2018 & 3 APR 2018 for Medical Clarification ( retake or would be able to fly on or before 11 APR 2018)
NVDO send back the Passport : 04 APR 2018
Re-medical : 09 APR 2018
Resent the passport : 09 APR 2018
Medical approved : 17 APR 2018

Your Dr has to upload IME form to IRCC , in our case it took 5 working days, and in a day or two , medical status got changed to " Medical Passed".

As a proactive steps from IRCC might have requested for re-medical which will help you to get enough duration in Visa( Visa stamping date depends on ur medical expiry date) for ur first entry to Canada.

Hope that i answered.

Rgds,

Ndvo is known to ask to redo medical when they know that processing the application might take more time. Even I was asked to redo medicals one month before expiry.

,
Please note that while stamping , the VISA timeline is totally depends on medical test date , so ur case , 2 months which is not sufficient to plan and migrate to Canada hence they requested to take medical again , which will help you plan travel with sufficient time line(1 year) ... Dont worry ...

We had also done medical again... and processed ...

Hello.

I thank you all for helping others and myself in the process of immigrating to Canada. I have applied in the BCPNP- FSW category on May 25, 2017. My background check has been completed as per last GCMS notes. However, security is in process. Today, I was requested to redo medical examination, last time was in 2017 and it has been expired as it's valid for a year only. It's been almost 2 years and I don't know how many months will it take for the PPR, COPR and finally the PR card. I don't mind doing medical again, but I have so many more questions:
  • If I redo my medicals, does it mean the screening is completed? I have requested the GCMS notes, but they have not arrived yet.
  • Can I request the medical reports to be extended?
  • Do you guys recommend I redo the meds or call the Visa Officer for a possible extension?
  • How much time would it practically take from Vancouver to received PPR, COPR and the PR card individually?
  • My criminality check was just passed, will the CIC ask me to resubmit new police certificates?
Would really appreciate your kind help and guidance. Thank you in advance and God bless.

Hi All, I got a work permit 2 months back and for that, have done visa medicals in Aug 18 and didn't travel till now. Now we have raised PR with me as primary applicant and got ITA. When booked for visa medicals for PR, hospital authorities is not allowing to do medicals for me as they conveyed it will be duplicate and can do only after Aug mid.Is it true.. should I have to take medical again or already present is fine for PR submission?Medical taken is for worker category for work permit visa.I only got an acknowledgement from the hospital for the medicals. Please help

I would suggest you to re-do medicals and wait to hear from CIC if they need anything else.

You can re-use medicals submitted for Work Permit application for your PR Application. Please ensure they have not expired.
