As an international student, how early can I go to canada

Its jan 9. And as of things are now I might travel mid oct

Harsh winter conditions in Canada differ from Province to province. It depends on where you're going. But for the most part travelling in early December is better for you. You can cheerfully tell the CBSA officer that you want to experience the holiday season in Canada before your classes start.
