This is a sign I should double check my application lol and sorry to bother you with another question but regarding receipt submission, are we allowed to just scan and upload it. I'm aware that we're not supposed to scan the citizenship photo but I'm not sure if that's also the case for the receipt. Am I supposed to ask for a digital receipt as well? lol idkHe infact missed uploading the receipt and now praying that the application is not sent back.He got to know this later on the forum.
I would suggest, upload it somewhere so that CIC gets it. Till the time it is there on the file, you should be safe.

His AOR is April. Applied in December. It's tough get a digital receipt. I think, scan of the normal receipt is fine, don't worry too much.

Yes I got mine through Shoppers
they give you a USB with your photo in it
and they give you a nice receipt with their info and time and date and everything
I uploaded the digital photo and a photo of that big receipt they give me along with the payment receipt just to be safe

I have noticed that online applicants even from January or so have not received their AOR whereas paper folks have.

December online applicants are still waiting for their AORs, the online platform was launched in December 2020 as a pilot, therefore I think they are testing some of the features. If you check the 2020 Spreadsheet you will noticed that 2020 December online applicants received AORs in March 2020 and two weeks later they received the test invite and some of them have already received the Interview invite. The process is quicker once AOR is received, it will take time and patience to receive AOR for 2021 applicants, it is unpredictable when; they could start sending AORs tomorrow, in a moth, two months, six, etc., nobody knows.

Name at birth will be my current name, now where I am from there is a culture to use fathers name as middle name, hence some of my documents have my fathers name as middle name, so when I provide that information, it asks me why was this name used and the options are 1) Name at Birth, 2) Maiden Name, 3) Married name, 4) Previously married name, 5) Alias/Nickname.
Not sure what to select.
