Hello Everyone, I applied for Citizenship in mid April and the I received the AOR on Nov 3, 2020. My application status is in progress since December 3, 2020. I recently got married on Dec 8, 2020 and I wish to inform IRCC about the change of marital status with legit document. Is there any quicker way to do so? Thanks in advance.

I am not an expert but I dont think you need to do that. The day you applied you were not married, so they are checking everything until the day of application.

Does anyone know that can application still be returned after five and half month or it’s good to receive AOR ?

I am not an expert but I dont think you need to do that. The day you applied you were not married, so they are checking everything until the day of application.

What I came to know is, they look your status on the date you signed your application.
If you are:-

1. Single
2. Married
3. Senior citizens
4. Less than 18
5. Turned 18

What ever your status on the day you sign your application IRCC consider that only into account.
Not the one any changes happen after that .

Chill, even 2019 has not been completed yet. You are looking for at least another 4-6 months

I'm afraid IRCC is no longer following any timeline since the pandemic disrupted their sequence and methods of processing files. They're still currently attending to July - December 2019 applicants for test invites and oath ceremony. They haven't even started issuing test invites to January 2020 applicants. Your application will be finalized when it is.
