I got my GCMS notes yesterday which I applied for on Oct 5. Absolutely no progress. Interesting that nothing happened until Oct 5 and then Decision made and PPR on Oct 26. Out of academic curiosity I am thinking of applying for another GCMS notes to see what the visa officer wrote as notes. Do you think there could be a potential negative effect now that everything is done?

Sure what are those docs?

Pretty Simple. I didn't submit much docs/evidence. That's all I had -

- Both Marriage Certificate & Marriage Deeds
- Photos: Engagement, Wedding, Reception, Honeymoon, Photos together with family member
- Phone bills showing number dialed, Whatsapp Chats (export), Whatsapp call logs (screenshot), Facebook profile link, email etc.
- Money exchange receipt (sent money)
- Honeymoon trip - Hotel Receipt
- Airline Ticket, Boarding pass

;D Omg guys! I got the passport request today!!

Applied on April 15th. I started to get worried about the complete silence because we had two red flags. But like someone said "No news is good news until they give us the really good news!"
After that e-mail, I received another one that our application was updated to background check In progress.

I'm originally from Republic of Moldova, but Romania processes our applications. Now I need to research what courier people have used in Bucharest!

Does anyone know how to find out exactly when your medicals expire? Thanks guys and good luck to the rest of you!

Well my medicals changed from passed to not not started at this time. What does that means??? Guess no ppr for me this november.

i hope we all get PPR in this month.

What does it say under your eligibility? Mine says "review required". I dont think I'll get PPR this month.

Congrats! Medicals are valid for a year.

Very strange...maybe CIC thought you passed your medicals but are now checking to see if their original assertion is correct? Hopefully we get PPR this month.

It'll change. give it some time. Mine took about 1 month after background check went into In Process then Approved.

It says DM for me now for the last week but haven't gotten anything, so i'm still hoping i'll receive something soon.

Hey Guys,

I'm sponsoring my wife under living outside Canada category, and she is currently working in Canada. We sent our application in April this year, the current status is still IN PROGRESS.

So now her work permit will expire Feb 2017, we worry the application if not approved before that, we are thinking to renew her work permit. I think she will be rejected for the work permit renewal based on my search, is that correct? Anyone have any experience? Please and thank you!

Hello everyone,

My wife's application is in Warsaw. On October 25 she got a request for an Afghanistan police clearance where she has been living for 8 months and she need to give this to Warsaw within 30 days. The next day she received PPR email with 60 days to send her passport.

She has been trying to get her Afghanistan police clearance for the past week but it is incredibly difficult for someone who is not a local. She works for the United Nations, so she has some support for UN staff. But they have been making her run around for all kinds of documentation. Anyway, it doesn't look like this will be done by Nov 25th. Moreover, she will not get the original. They will forward the original to their ministry of foreign affairs as she is not an afghan. The ministry of foreign affairs will then send it to the Canadian embassy and it will be sent to her registered address in Canada. So I will then receive it here and post it to Warsaw.

There is some confusion here. Do we write to the VO saying police clearance will take more time? Moreover, should we get a clarification on why they sent her a PPR email when they asked for a police clearance one day before? Do they still need her police clearance or did they waive it as she is a UN employee?
