Hi WildCowboy,

Could you please tell me when your passport will be expired because mine will expire in November 2015.

Thanks

Just got a request from CIC:

Client Information: Please provide a copy of a new valid passport.

Should I send them a scan-copy or mail a notarized copy?

There is a note:
All documents must be accompanied by English or French translations. When original documents are requested, notarised documents are not acceptable. When attaching your document(s), please ensure that they are smaller than 5MB and that each document is attached individually.

This coming weekend, some people will start their last month to reaching 12 months processing time. Over the course of 11 months we have already:

6 happy people with Decision Mades
4 contented people with In Processes
51 perplexed people who are waiting for their MRs

and ton of communications from CIC.....

It is not a good situation and the processing is very slow. For those perplexed people, you are not at the bottom. People have worser scenarios, applicants from January to March 2014, some all the way from 2013 even, still have no MRs. I know it is a stressful process and the stress level is equal from submitting your application until landing.

I am glad that people are active in the this thread though we don't really know what is happening to CIC, we give our best way to help and answer questions. How active are we? We are currently sitting at the 5th spot of the CEC forum. I think this gives us, applicants, a way to release our stresses and calm our anxieties.

All the best and may this last month be more meaningful and exciting that any other month in our PR journey.

Thank you for these kind words.
Waiting is killing me, but I believe I would have the expected result.

I would vote Cabalen for president! :D
And yes, we're far better than many here! But, it's impossible to control your emotions when it feels so close.

Hi Everyone,
Can administration please update the spreadsheet that I have launched a BOWP application for my spouse and I today?
I got a little shock as the freekin price went up by $100 since Feb 21. Apparently you now have to pay an Open Work Permit Holder Fee as well. Ugh.
So if I'm not the happiest man by receiving PR soon, at least I will be content with a BOWP in about 43 days from now - ETA April 11. Our current work permits expire on June 1, 2015.
*keeping fingers crossed*
I am also expecting GCMS notes in the coming week, which I will share.
Meanwhile, the waiting continues.
Cheers, and good luck to all.

You are correct. $100 increase as a Work permit Holder fees.

Whereas Service and Response from CIC is ZERO/0. >:(

hey guys,

Wanted to give a quick update on my application as i don't get onto the forum much but know that people are still waiting to hear from CIC on various things.

Received an email from CIC requesting medicals on Jan 29, booked and completed medicals on Feb 3. I then received an email from CPC-Ottawa on Feb 11 (two emails from CIC within two weeks!) requesting RPRF, which i paid on Feb 17.

It was all very straightforward but if anyone has any questions let me know! Good luck to everyone and hopefully we're all nearly there!

Got PPR!!! ;D ;D ;D

Wooohoooo!

BOWP Tab updated

Congrats Cabalen!!!

How long between changing to "in progress" till you got the PPR email? Is there any change in your status on ECAS?
