Hello , I need an advice related to my situation.
After I applied for PR and received AOR I moved to another country waiting for my pr. I left valid address in canada to cic, as I though I will be back within 3 months as a visitor. Now I am waiting for my passport request / approval from Ottawa office.
My concern is should I inform them that I am residing currently in a different country? (in that case will they transfer my file to the embassy in this country ?) in this case they might be delays ?
How they process when my application is in ottawa, but I am currently in Europe ?
Thank you in advance !

Hi all,

I have been a silent follower of this forum, but today my status changed to 'in process', so figured would let you all know:)
My timeline:
Date received@CIO: April 17
AOR rc'd: May 9
My E-CAS status changed on Feb 26th from 'Application Received' to 'In Process' and a second line was added: 'we started processing your application on Feb 23rd'
I did an upfront medical and thus have not received an MR

Have you paid upfront RPRF as well?

Hey guys! I'm off tomorrow for a week, so I won't be around for a while. Just came here to say that I expect some PPRs next week for Cabalen, EPP or any folk with status "In-Process" or I will be so mad! Also, if Santa Claus exists, I need to see "In-Process" in my ECAS before going crazy. Best of luck guys! See you all in 1 week. Hopefully, with good news.

Enjoy buddy. I know this F* slow process is killing our vacation also.

what the meaning of upfront medical? is it mean that we give them medical details without they sending us request?

Yes boss! So you are the CEO of the April 2014 Thread :P

Enjoy your vacation and try to remove the CIC stress ;D (I know we all need this!)

Correct!

The procedures I am not familiar though but a lot here have done upfront medicals and it was not an issue.

A piece of advise if I may, before doing upfront medicals, order first GCMS just to make sure you have no problems with your Eligibility.

Just got a request from CIC:

Client Information: Please provide a copy of a new valid passport.

Should I send them a scan-copy or mail a notarized copy?

There is a note:
All documents must be accompanied by English or French translations. When original documents are requested, notarised documents are not acceptable. When attaching your document(s), please ensure that they are smaller than 5MB and that each document is attached individually.

Yes Cabalen is correct to check GCMS note before doing upfront medical.

I would suggest not to do anything such as upfront medical or RPRF now a days. Actually, last year people got both request in same days or in a week.

However, I came to know from GCMS that if your elibility passed by VO then immediately or next day you will get a medical request. Then after there could be hold on process due to checking of background verification, security etc...
