Well, from my point of view, it's good news! If you are from a visa exempt country, you'll receive CoPR in your mail box (no password request). If you have meds in place and showing up in ECAS, plus "We starting processing your application..." and then Decision Made. It's likely PR! :) Congrats

I second to that. Congrats Karen111! That's good news!

Hope this is start for us April applicants and keep the ball rolling!

I am an April applicant. I have submitted an upfront medical, RPRF and Biodata.

I checked my ECAS status this morning and there was a new update saying that

4. A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

It makes me little nervous that I haven't received any email regarding passport request yet, but it could be because I am from South Korea which is Visa Exempt country.

Do you guys have any idea if the decision will be a good news or bad news? (I mean... for example, they wouldn't update on the ECAS about decision made if they are going to reject me.. something like that..)

Also, when they contact me about the final decision, is it going to be email or mail? Do you know how long it will take approximately?

Hi,

What did your eCAS state just prior to this - i.e., can you outline please:

1.We received your application for permanent residence on April 14, 2014.

2.xxxxxxxx

etc

A priest, a doctor, and an engineer...

A priest, a doctor, and an engineer were waiting one morning for a particularly slow group of golfers. The engineer fumed, "What's with those guys? We must have been waiting for fifteen minutes!"

The doctor chimed in, "I don't know, but I've never seen such inept golf!"

The priest said, "Here comes the green-keeper. Let's have a word with him."

He said, "Hello George, what's wrong with that group ahead of us? They're rather slow, aren't they?"

The green-keeper replied, "Oh, yes. That's a group of blind firemen. They lost their sight saving our clubhouse from a fire last year, so we always let them play for free anytime."

The group fell silent for a moment.

The priest said, "That's so sad. I think I will say a special prayer for them tonight."

The doctor said, "Good idea. I'm going to contact my ophthalmologist colleague and see if there's anything he can do for them."

The engineer said, "Why can't they play at night?"

:D :D :D
good idea to cheer everyone up.

Congrats!!!

I've just received my GCMS notes issued on Jan 13, and unfortunately, NO PROGRESS at all. Still, only criminality is in progress.

But given that CIC recently requested an additional document (my husband's birth certificate), there might have been some progress since I applied for GCMS notes. Maybe, like the case of Karen111 below, they started processing my application on Jan 14?!

Nonetheless, my ECAS status has been updated: "Medical results have been received". That's a relief.
