Hi all,
I am keeping track of November 2013 applicats and they are landing already. So i guess process is much faster now.

I have to admit their tracking sheet is amazingly brilliant. It would be great to use the same format if we can.Lovely colors and statistics.

Just a thought.

Hello Guys, I had applied for BOWP online couple of weeks back. Today I got an email saying my application is updated. Upon login in CIC website I couldn't find any new message in Check for Message section, but its showing:

Application Status Closed
A final decision has been reached This application has been approved

Does this mean they have approved the open wp I had applied, if yes how to get the copy of my new WP?

For example, my work permit will be expired in November and will apply near to Aug/Sep month? Then I will get it for next 1 year till aug/sep 2015 or depends on AOR(got in June 03) so will get till June 2015.

Hi the BOWP will be issued based upon which date it approves. even though ur work permit is valid till september 2014, if ur bowp approved on june 2014 then u get the validity till 2015 June.
Its up to when to apply for BOWP, you can wait till september and then apply then u get it till 2015 Septemeber.

[No idea about BOWP, waiting for permit. But from earlier experience (I had 2 closed WPs) its 1 yr since your application]

Just received WP email and just like I guessed its 1 yr from date of issue, they gave me till next year June.

Hey Backendcode, we haven't heard recent updates from you. Have you received AOR yet and are you checking ECAS update regularly, in this forum I have seen some people updated ECAS status but no AOR email. if no AOR then did you send email to CIO and what they are saying..

Still there is no hope of AOR. I applied on 25 April and I called my bank yesterday and they said my bank draft is still pending. Anyway I already send them an email 9 days ago coz it's already been 7 weeks at that time . Nu got automatic reply from CIC when I sent an email and it says we will reply you with in 20 days and if it's been more than 10 weeks since ur application sent then u can call and ask the status of your application and we will tell u if our officer put any note on your file or what's going on with ur file.

Anyway, thanks for your concern and I will let you know if I get any update

Hi Friends,
I am now getting prepared for CEC application. Dos any one have a well prepared reference letter from an employer? I am curious to see how picky the officers are. We already applied from Ph.D. stream. They rejected our application because they did not find required terminology in the letter. Is there any common template available in the forum. Meanwhile, Do they need letter from both human resource and Department? Our department does not have any stamp. How I can deal with this problem? Your coop is greatly appreciated.
