When I went to the local CIC office for landing, the officer found the same problem. She corrected all the information and re-issue a new CoPR at the landing appointment.

How long does it usually take to get an appointment? I was considering landing at a VO since it seems more personal than flagpoling at the US border, however, I wonder if it is worth the ride from Montréal to Ottawa when it takes me 45 mins to drive to the US border but 2 hrs to drive to Ottawa...

That's a drag but you still are in a better position than those still waiting for any update.

Just a little more patience. :D

So my invalid CoPR has reached CIC's office yesterday noon - let's see how long it takes for me to get the new ones.

Could someone share the link to find local CIC officers for landing?

Is it this one? http://www.cic.gc.ca/ENGLISH/information/offices/help.asp

Thanks!

I called to CIC (the number was given on the CoPR letter) and requested an appointment. Few days later, I received an email saying that I can do my landing at my local CIC office on March 24 anytime between 9am-12pm.

I went to the office and there was no waiting time as I booked the appointment earlier. The actual landing process took me less than 10 minutes. After landing was done, I was guided to the next counter to update my SIN number.

The good parts about getting you landing done at your local CIC office would be...
1. You can get your landing and SIN change done on the same day with no waiting time.
2. My CoPR had some error on the first and last entry dates. The CIC officer corrected them and re-issued a new one on the spot

And the inconvenient parts are...
1. You need to book an appointment
2. For the appointment, you don't choose a time... they pick a date and email you to notify..

Call to the number given on your CoPR Letter. Then, the call centre agent sends the request to the local office and the office will email you when to come..

As I can see there actually is a CIC office here in Montréal. The question is...will I be able to wait that long (from what I understood you got the appointment pretty much one month after you received your CoPR)?! I guess I will have to take that decision once the time is there! :)

고마워! ;)

It actually only took me a week to book an appointment.

I called to CIC on March 17 and they booked me for the appointment on March 24. I guess the wait time depends on how busy they are.

고마워! ;) --> you are so sweet !! Thank you!

One week? Well, in that case...I will certainly land here in Montréal!
Thank you so much, you have really been very, very helpful! :D

I would suggest sending an email to CIC and asking the question.

Finally received our passports and CoPR today. Visa issued on 13 March. Please update the spread sheet.

There are some issues in CoPR,
First: My Original entry date is wrong but I guess it can be corrected while landing process.
Second: Nothing mentioned on "Last entry at" on my wife's CoPR. Can I get this fixed during landing process or I'll have to send it back to CIC??

please advise.

Good News ---- :) :) :) :)

I got PPR for me and my wife this morning.... 8) ;D :D :P

Cabalen - Can you please update the sheet...!!!! Thanks a lot for your help in keeping track of the process.... You are the best.... :D

Good luck to all who are waiting for their turns for MR or PPR.... I wish you get it very very soon.... :)

Sheet updated! Try landing locally in a physical CIC office instead of going to the border. They will fix any issues in your COPR right away.
