It means they have started processing your application. From what I understand is that you have passed eligibility, criminality and security and may received MR and RPRF, if not yet done/submitted to CIC.

My ECAS is not updating somehow it is still saying that application received on 3rd April, after that nothing has been updating for my application number could you guys please confirm if som1 else also have the same issue?
I have given my medicals (rcvd medicals in Oct and 5th Nov given) and RPRF upfront.

kindly suggest if any other way is there to check the status on the application :-\.

Yesterday evening sent my passport to Ottawa....

Now wait for passport began...
