oooo now I'm worried :o
If I don't get anything from them by next Tuesday, I will bombard them with calls:)

I guess everything is delayed because of strike.

The Strike was for Visas and not Citizenship

If anybody calls them, please let us know

Thanks!

I hope you are right... that's unusual delay...

In my case when I check my e-cas I can see only info about the sponsorship application I filed for my Mom. Will my citizenship application be added to it too or I somehow need to have an access to it different way?

People stop panicking each other and just read for a change.
June 11, 2013 — The Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers (PAFSO) union is currently taking strike action. PAFSO union members responsible for processing visa applications (NOT CITIZENSHIP) have been walking out of offices in Canada and overseas.

Posted processing times for both temporary and permanent resident visa applications do not take into account work stoppages.

Anyone applying for a visa (NOT CITIZENSHIP) should anticipate delays and submit their application as far in advance as possible.

Contingency plans are already in place to ensure all offices remain open and are providing at least a minimum level of service. Priority will be placed on urgent humanitarian applications

So now stop spreading rumors and everyone who applied for citizenship can chill out.

Yes, it will be added, and you will see both the citizenship and the sponsorship applications together.

Do you have any idea how long they will take time to re-take exam???

I am not sure but what I ve heard its around 8 weeks or so ,however it varies depending upon the local office and on one s individual case.

I tried to check ecas today. Here is the message I got: "Service Temporarily Unavailable

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later."

Ecas is back, no updates...
