yeah I attached a copy of my IELTS, just to make sure, if they change the rules in May. ;D ;)

Thanks Rubyat & STS for the updates.. i also confirmed the same with a leading immigration consultant in new delhi regarding submitting of ielts....What they told me was that just keep submitting the forms as u did earlier till today as all propsed changes are still in " PROPOSED" MODE....NO concrete decision binding on the applicants has been taken yet. so cic will clearly mention the date from which new regulations would be in effect and only those who apply after that stipulated date would be the ones affected...not those who have already applied...no matter yesterday or week before.so let's hope we now receive the initial mail soon after verification of documents.

will CIO send us an interim email in a week to say that our application has been received ?

or will it be the AOR (after a month or two ), asking us to send documents to VO etc

There will be no intermediate acknowledgement from CIO. If deemed eligible, you will receive an AOR to submit all documents to the Visa Office. All the best!

Hello Arbyrances,

I have read about similar issues with others too. If you indeed need to apply to CIO before the passports of your family are done, you can mention in the form 'Applied For' and send a cover letter with your application stating the same. That should be ok as long as you provide the passport details at the time of Full Application to local visa office. By the way, it is only April right now. If you plan to apply in June, perhaps you can get started with the Passport Application process for your family.

STS

Dear arbyrances,

i was facing the same problem. so got both passports for wife and daughter on urgent basis in a week`s time...

Hey,

I have submitted my initial application to CIO on April 8th via FEDEX, CIO received my application on April 13th signed by D. Martell.

NOC: 4131

I intended to pay with credit card so I filled out the form and I have provided the details of my credit card. Till now CIO did not charge my credit card. I would like to know approximately when the CIO will charge my card. I thought if I submit my application CIO will charge the card immediately. Do you have any idea what is the standard in connection with the fee payment, or what I should do now.

Good luck for everyone.
