dear navali ! i had sent an case specific email to visa office new delhi. usually CIO NOVA SCOTIA is taking 2 month period for review of application . i got my dd encashed on 25.04.2010 hardly 25 days of my application received by Nova Scotia. on ECAS website shows a letter has been sent to you on 2.06.2010. but i didn't received any letter.after waiting for 4 months i filed case specific inquiry then i got the file no.

How doest it look 'case specific inquiry'?
Do you post via postmail or email?
How quickly did Sydney respond to you?

Dear Lubob,

How can one check on ECAS those who have not even received the first AOR, cause for checking on the ECAS one needs at least the following :-

An identification number such as client ID, file number or receipt number. Those who have not received even the first AOR would have none of these.

Please enlighten us.

I SENT CASE SPECIFIC ENQUIRY WITHOUT HAVING MY 1ST AOR AND IT WENT SUCCESFULLY.it is not mandatory to have file number.

Case specific enquiry is highly related to local VISA OFFICE, not to CIC Sydney, NS.
I am curious what information local office will response with, if sydney doesn't approve application yet, and doesn't sent application to local office?
For some guys of beginning of the May it is already gone - 4 month.
I think CIC should respond in 1-2 week to all May applicants.

As you know that many peoples from apri did not get the 1st AOR, my brother OVAIS_PK is one of them... Please help me to know where should I contact CIO or UK VO, and is it better to send an email to them or call them directly?

Credit Card Charged on 5th Aug 2010

Please also provide the email address or phone # where should I need to send request to check the application status.

Dear Sunny i had sent an email to visa office new delhi with my application details after waiting reply from CIO NS for nearly 4 months. then i was not having any file no. or AOR from CIO NS. but the VO new delhi replied regarding the status of my file. the subject of replied email of VO contained my file no. when i checked with this file no. on ECAS, then i got the status that CIO had sent a letter on 2.06.2010. which i had not received till date. As my bank gave me encashed status of my dd on 25.04.2010. having file no. i m going to submit full doc. to VO ND next week. i hope this will clear ur confusion. best of luck n take care. cheers

Thanks Lubob, I have sent the case specific enquiry too as advised, in case I receive a reply than I would post the same here and than all those who are waiting could try the same too.

Hi Lubob,

From what I can understand from your message is you have the File # for your application but not yet received your 1st AOR. And based on the File # you are submitting your Full docs to VO (ND). I am not quite sure if you could do that for the following reasons but I may be wrong in my understanding:

1) Your application can be assigned a file # but that does not really mean that it has passed the assessment sucessfully at CIO. (I hope it does pass the assessment).
2) When you submit your full docs you will have to attach a copy of your 1st AOR... which you have not received. The 1st AOR is generally despatched by email unless you have specifically mentioned to be delivered by mail (post). So did you request for a postal delivery of your 1st AOR?

Please ignore my post if I have understood you wrong.

Dear Mitali ! thanks a lot for ur concern regarding my status. i had applied thru a consultant. i had applied in july 2009 for the very first time.my dd encashed on 19.09.2009.that time i didn't received any reply from CIO NS. in march 2010 i applied afresh with another draft which was received by CIO NS on 30.03.2010. my consultant gave reference of the previous application in the new one. in the month of may 2010 my consultant received dd of my previous application for refund by CIO NS. the reason for the refund was non-compliance of second stage i.e 120 days period lapsed. now my consultant assured me that we will attach the communication received from VO ND containing file no. with full doc.s. this was the status of ecas : We received your application for permanent residence on March 30, 2010.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on June 2, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. Moreover VO ND had replied my case specific inquiry with the particular email. if the file was transferred to VO ND then they had replied. if it was n't so then they would have replied that we had no records about ur application.please correct me if i m wrong. once again thanks n take care.
 
Hello friends,

i am sure you all must be in the best of health. I have received the first AOR and am now preparing my documents to send them to CIO.

I have a confusion regarding the police clearance certificates and have the following queries:

* Is the PCC only required for me (the priciple candidate) or for my spouse as well?
* Do I have to get the PCC for every address where I lived or is it ok if i provide the PCC having address of my current residence?
* My wife lived in Bahawalpur before getting married, so do i need to get a PCC from Bahawalpur as well for her?

Hope you guys will help :)
