Hi Saki/Mitali/other members:
As you may notice from the list, my documents were received by the buffalo office on 26 july but no 2nd AOR yet. Is that a normal time-line? Should I be calling them? Please suggest!

Hi April, i hope your document collection is coming along nicely.. with GOD`s blessings mine is going well.. wife (PA) gave IELTS speaking on 6th which she is hoping will get her atleast a 7... going to sit for listening, reading, writing on 11th sep..... today we will be going to her university for transcripts in sealed envelopes and will be done with atleast 80% of documents within this month... good luck to all of you. do pray for us as well.

Hi,

As you must have noticed from the numerous complaints on the forum that Buffalo is infamous for being one of the slowest VO. Do you have confirmation that your package has reached Buffalo ( with tracking #?).

You could call ( I dont have the number though) but I heard that they seldom answer it. But you could try to send them a case specific email regarding the status of your application. You could also try checking the thread for Buffalo applicants....maybe you could get more appropriate answers there.

Hi Kummi,

You could try giving them a call to know the status of your application. Check pg 82 on how to contact. Probably you will get the standard answer but try it for for satisfaction.

As I am not claiming the relatives point now, do I sent new form with mention that I have no relative and mention it in cover letter that I have make a change in the form? Also, I am not sending any relatives related document. Is it OK?

Hi Spondon,

Sending new forms (for relative) will not serve the purpose....but definitely highlight in your cover letter that you are not claiming points for relative. I am sure you know that you have to send the photocopy of complete set of forms that were initially send to CIO.

Is it possible to send case specific email to CIO? Hmmm I did not know that. I though case specific inquiry is entertained only by specific VO and not CIO, NS.

Dear mitali i m telling about concerned VO. i sent my application to NS and it was received by NS on 30.03.2010. but till 2.08.2010 i didnot got any reply from CIO. then i mailed a case specific inquiry to ND VO . they replied next day with my file no. thanks

Mitali and all I guess till now no one has tried mailing CIO except calling them.from the above I understand that lubob has mailed and got a reply, and also resived AOR is n't that gr8 I mean It worked for him...Can we also try mailing CIO about the much awaited AOR or status of our applications?

I believe you should definitely send them the emails and call directly to NS with query where is your AOR and ask for file Id.

Where to send the email? There is no email address provided for CIO....only email address provided is for every specific Visa Office. If ur case is still in CIO (means u have not received the 1st AOR) then VO also doesn't know any thing about ur case...

I have not forgotten you......and you are not the only one there are many people like you in the same situation... if that makes you feel a little better. Dont loose hope....you will be ok.

Oh yes, why not. Sending case specific enquiry to VO at CIO stage is actually news for me as well.....as it worked for lulob and it could would for all the other candidates.

Thanks to lulob for posting this information. PM lulob regarding what information he had to send with his email request (like DOB etc???).
