Saki and mitali

I want to ask about one issue, iam going to send my application to london office and i will be in canada for 8 months from end of october 2010.

Dose london office will be the visa office which will finalize my case or they will transfer it to another VO according to my case to egypt as a country of nationality or visa office in canada

Hi

Your visa office will remain the same unless you inform them and request them to change your visa office and changing the visa office could delay the process.

Cheers
Saki

Dear Saki.,

so it is better not to ask them to change it and only i will give them the new address for me,Right?

Thanks for your professional reply

Yeah i think its better not to change your visa office because then they will ask questions why you want to change now n bla bla and it will just delay the process. But see what Mitali and others say on this.

Hi Sesh,

Sorry to hear about that, is your NOC still in the list ? what they mean by "Review your NOC for eligibility assessment" is that check if your NOC is still in the list and if it is then you can reapply under the new rules but if not then sorry to say you cant apply again at the moment.

Sorry to hear that I think 0213 is no longer in the list.

Hi Sesh,

Sorry for hearing that, but my point of view ,it is very clear to cic that not selecting a visa office will reject the file even you have the right NOC,search for ur NOC or the nearest noc or the nearest duties you can perform. If you got one, then you can apply again.

Hi INFO,

just fill it as it is, applicants had this problem and i think CIC has done this purposely so i think better to keep it as it is and when you send the documents mention this in your cover letter that it was the form which pasted the same thing next page and not you.

Cheers

Sorry you cant apply again as NOC is no more in the list, if you can find your job duties in any other NOC which is listed on the list then you can apply again but not with this NOC sorry.

Hi Ramoo,

As per CIC operational Guidance, London visa office will continue to process your case as long as you were eligible to it at the time of INITIAL APPLICATION TO CIO and even if you changed your country of residence after that, here is the extraction from OP6 :
"Visa offices are not required to transfer files for any other reasons. Such reasons include cases of
applicants who comply with subsection R11(1) for the specified visa office, at the time the
application is received at the CIO, but subsequently leave the territory of the specified visa office.
In these cases, the original visa office should proceed with a final determination of eligibility and
process the application if eligible. The visa office should not transfer the file to another visa office"

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op06-eng.pdf

Check last paragraph of page 23.

Do not ask to change visa office , just inform London that you changed your address (to Canada), your case will continue to be processed in London, As Saki said no need to create unecessary delay.

Good Luck :)
