Wait for the system to update the ecas. It does not happen instantly. Most likely tuesday morning or wednesday morning check the status again, it will show the updated info.

Hi Sameer Bro,

Thank you sooo much dear... thats fine i understand you were bz with your ielts and other documents so no worries at all. With your IELTS results you did well but it depends how much minimum you required to get 67 points.

Listening 7 = 2 points
Reading 7 = 4 points
Writing 6 = 2 points
Speaking 6 = 2 points

So total it will give you 10 points. How much you needed actually 10 or more ?

About my mobile number check your inbox.

Cheers
Saki

Hi All

is the reference to your file number given in the first AOR is the Immigration File Number?
I will be thankful if my query is answered..

For Post 26-Jun-2010 application you need send PCC to CIO, right?

And I think you need to follow old EG7 instructions if your application reached CIO before 26-Jun-2010. This is what I am reading in old EG7 instruction -

You may begin to gather your police certificates before submitting your application to the CIO. Although you will not submit the police certificate to the CIO, you must be ready to submit them to a visa office if your application is recommended for further assessment at a Canadian visa office. When you submit the application to the visa office please ensure that your certificates were not issued more than three months before you submitted your application to the CIO.

Hi cancer24,

I post the same info as I did earlier for lakhvinder. It is the respective VO because that is the lock in date for your FULL Docs.

Hi lakhvinder,

Suppose your application is received on 10th April at CIO and you get your PCC dated anytime after 10th April, you are fine.

But if your PCC is dated 10th Jan then that is the cut off date for the validity of your PCC (Consider the time it would require to reach CHC). That means PCC dated 9th Jan and earlier will be considered invalid.

Hope this helps.

Mitali

That's right. It is "Immigration File Number".

Guys - IELTS Academic or General Training? Which one we have to go for? Thanks

Priyankaa,

IELTS Academic is usually taken by students going abroad for higher studies (MS, PhD etc). Almost all "open-to-immigration" countries expect potential immigrants to take IELTS General Module.

Hope that helps.

Congratulations!!!!! :)

Read your VO specific instructions carefully; each VO has different requirement. If it says you must include RPRF then please do so. On this forum you will see mixed responses for the same question posted in the past. But CHC/CIO getting more and more stricter now days I would recommend following VO instructions without any compormise.

I have sent my final application to the London visa office that reached there on 19July last month. When should i expect my second AOR in September/October?
When they may start processing the case? what is your calculation?

thanks

HELP SENIORS

I called CIO just now and the lady provided me a file number after verifying my name and DOB. The number provided by that lady started with "B" and followed by 9 digits. She also told me that my case will be processed by OCT end maximum. (standard reply...i guess) however i want to know that if a file number is generated for my case... how far could be my first AOR???

Shandi

Unfortunately I am not sure about London VO. Mine is New Delhi and following it very closely. Hope Mitali/Saki can provide inputs to your question.
