My husband and I got married in November of 2009 in Istanbul, Turkey. He's lived in Turkey all of his life. I'm so happy that I was approved to sponsor my husband on May 6. Now it is up to the Visa office in Ankara, Turkey. Everything was filled out correctly. His police, military and medical forms were all filled out.
The fees are all paid. He lives at home with his parents and siblings. They keep telling me in papers that medical forms were left out of the application. Is this because his whole family has to be medical tested? They have agreed to have it done as soon as possible. Will we have to wait much longer? Does anyone have any experience with permanent residence for spouses from Turkey? This wait is so difficult :'(

Only the applicant, your husband, needs to include proof of having completed a medical exam. So no, his parents/siblings do NOT need to have a medical exam as well. If your husband wants to sponsor his parents at some point in the future, they would need to have a medical exam then, but they cannot be included with this application.

When you say that "they" keep telling you that the medical forms were left out, who are you referring to? Did you receive a letter saying that the medical report was missing from your application? If so, then do you have a copy of Copy 2 of the Medical Report? This is what the doctor would have given your husband when he had his medical exam done. Hopefully you kept a copy of that form and can submit it with a letter to the Canadian Embassy in Ankara (address here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions/ankara.asp) explaining that your husband has already done his medical.

The processing time of spousal applications in Ankara is 3-8 months. Good luck.

He sent me the medical form and I included it in the application. Oh what a relief! I thought they were going to have to go through medical exams. That's great. I'm sure he has copy two of the medical form. His sister is helping with everything there and we talk almost everyday. She keeps telling me not to worry but it's hard not to. His whole family speaks Turkish and although I've become fairly fluent in the language, I sometimes have a hard time getting updated on what's going on there.
Thanks for your speedy answer. Everything seems to be working out. Still, I'll worry until I get absolute confirmation that he receives permanent residence status.

Most likely the doctor forgot to send in the medical forms, or they've been misplaced/lost in the mail. Definitely contact the embassy and tell them you have had your husband's medical done, and ask what exactly is missing. They won't start processing the application till they get it.
His parents and siblings do not have to submit medical forms.

No his medical forms were in the mail. One time they sent me the papers back, and they were there. I provided missing information and sent everything back to them again, including the medical forms. The Canadian Consulate in Ankara has been in contact with my husband by phone and by mail. When I asked my sister in law if I needed to send anything, she told me not to worry, everything was in order. I thought maybe I should mail them the original marriage certificate, as they only have photocopies of it.
I should also say that no one speaks english in my new family ???
