Applying tourist visa from another country

Hello All,

Posting on behalf of a friend. I need your help to get his questions answered.

*Situation* - I am working as a cabin crew in an airline in the middle east holding Indian passport. I want to apply for a visitor visa to visit Canada on my leave and there is no Canadian embassy in my country.
*Questions* -
1.Can I apply from another country?
2.At the time of passport submission if I am not available in the same country, can I ask them to change dates as per my convenience?
3.For how long I can stretch to submit my passport for stamping? If am not available in the country.
4.For how many days I have to give my passport for stamping? Is there any urgent process where I can request to get back the passport within 2-3 days?
5.If I won't be able to submit my passport at all what will be the consequences.

2. Yes, but it may take time to get a response.
3. You can request an extension of a few months.
4. There is no urgent processing. It could take a few weeks.
5. Application will be canceled.

Thanks for the reply. Regarding the application will be cancelled. Does it has any impact when we reapply?

You would probably have to declare the first application as a refusal.

If you can't submit the passport in time, I would withdraw the application rather than waiting for a refusal.
