Applying for Visit Visa second time after successfuly first time

Hi All,
Me and my family received Multiple Visit Visa back in Oct 2014 but it expired in April 2016 because of passport expiry. We visited a cousin for a month in Summer 2015.
We are planning to apply for another visit visa to meet him again. Do the chances and processing time increase if we have already received one before?
Any inputs from members with similar experience will be greatly appreciated!

IRCC will consider your current personal and professional circumstances when evaluating your new applications for the TRVs.

The fact that you/your family did not overstay/did not apply for extensions to your visitor status could help to some extent.

You'll need to check if your nationality is eligible for for CAN+ processing for expedited processing
