I have two questions about applying for an open work permit
I am applying for an open work permit along with my application for PR. I am currently living and working in Canada on an IEC visa. Looking through the checklist for the work permit it mentions
"If you are a participant of the IEC program, provide proof of health insurance covering the intended extension to your length of stay in Canada"
I am currently on my wife's health benefits through her work and once I'm working more full time again I will be able to be on MSP
Does this still mean I need to purchase more health insurance? I currently have health insurance until the end of my IEC visa. If so what does it mean when saying covering the intended extension? I am unclear how much health insurance to buy as I don't know how long my visa would be extended? is there a standard amount of time you are given for an open work permit??
Second question
Since I am applying for an open work permit, when it asks for a letter from a future employer and their details. Do I just leave this blank?
