Hi,
I received my COPR few weeks ago. I'm starting a new contract position (for 6 months initially) in the UK paying a great daily rate. I am therefore reluctant to pack up and leave this job, unless I have something pre-arranged in Canada.
Would employers consider people who have COPR but are yet to land? Does one have to wait the 30+ days to obtain a PR card before they can begin to apply for jobs?

very rare unless you have exceptional skills not generally available in Canada to get any employers interested before you have landed, can happen but rare but even so still worth generating enquiries.

Once you land you can apply for your SIN straight away you do not need to wait for a PR card to apply for or start a job but be prepared for a job search to possibly take some time anyway and budget accordingly.
