Hello,

I have a friend that recently had his work permit renewed for 2 yrs. now he would like to start applying for AINP - employee driven stream - food service category.

Can he use the same signed contract and LMIA that he used for work permit renewal as a requirements for AINP application or the employer need to sign a new contract and apply for new LMIA?.

Please advice.

Thank you.

Yes. The validity of the LMIA is important when applying for the work permit not while submitting an application for AINP.

I submitted the copy of my LMO that had expired 6 months ago when I applied for my AINP.

Hope this helps.

Hi astasi,
I have a question for you.

What are the eligible scores for NOC B?

It seems you have taken CELPIP for CEC. I am also taking it on the first week of October and applying NOC B for CEC.

I appreciate your help.

Thank you

Hi,

Here is the link:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/language.asp

And following is the relevant extract:

If you gained your skilled work experience in Canada in a NOC B job, you must meet the minimum level of CLB 5 in either English or French for all four language abilities.

For CLB 5 you would need minimum a score of 5 each in all the 4 abilities - Speaking, reading, writing & listening.

Good luck with your test.
