Hello senior...

I would like to ask, I just apply CEC, nd got my AOR.. my current WP will expired on Sept 27, nd will be 3 years.

My question is
1. If I move to new employer I can't use my current WP isnt?
2. My new employer must apply LMO nd get me new WP?
3. Is gonna effect my CEC application or not?
4. How long it will be for LMO nd to get new WP

Thank you so much, I already searching nd understand about new WP to new employer, to make sure.
Pls give me advise..

Answers as follows,
1. You can use your current wp after getting permission from CIC (own Opinion )
2. Yes you need new LMO for new job
3.No i does not affect your CEC application, unless you worked legally at least for 1 year with proper salary slip.
4. For LMO , I think it depends on your Provence, Barely it takes 3 to 7 weeks.

I hope these information's are helpful

Thank so much for your quick reply,

I can use my current WP, oh ya I will work in same activities. So there is no problem isn't? Only I have to get new LMO in my new employer. Because I'm not chance my work and in same noc code.

Thank

You need a new work permit. Your current work permit is not transferable to a different employer.

So before you can start working for a new employer, that employer needs to obtain a new LMO and then you'll need to obtain a new work permit.

If you use your current work permit to work for a new employer - you'll be working illegally.

you should join the CEC forum :)

you can apply for an open work permit in May 2014 once you have 4 months or fewer on your current permit - at that point you can work for any employer.

Thx you lpc, yes I join already, I'm still don't know if I work in new company before may.
So I have to get new work permitted. If the process to long, than better I wait till may, like you said nd apply BOWP isn't?
Thx so much now I have more idea, cos my new employer said I don't have to apply LMO so they lying to me, if im work to them and they not apply for me. They think can extend my WP, so what should I do, before move.
Thank

Lmo is definitely needed if you go to a new employer before the end of May
Not sure how long the process is but I know they are being more strict on approvals
You cannot extend the work permit
