Restoration to SOWP

My boyfriend’s dummy wp extension got rejected, so Iam planning to apply sowp.
we know each other since 2 yrs. I am living with him since august 23rd 2025. his visa was refused on may 14th. but when applying for dummy wp he didnt mention being on common law in November 2025 but now i have my wp till feb 27th of 2028 and i will be joining my new company on 11th June which is a teer one. Some say its a complicated case. if i get married to him this month wht will be the process if iam applying for spousal visa. it it complicated

You aren’t common law yet you have to live together for a year to be common law. He currently doesn’t qualify for an SOWP and must stop working. Whether you get married or not is a personal decision but it will take a while to get things like proof of marriage. He either needs to leave Canada or try to restore his status to visitor.
