Congratulations on on this milestone!

Did your e-Cas status change to 'medical exam results received' before you got the PPR?

Did the PPR come by email or by post?

Hello guys,

I am a bit worried about the time taken by the buffalo visa office, as I have submitted my full documents on april 1st 2010 and I got my 2nd AOR on May 5th 2010. But after that there is no change in my status. It is more than 7 months and still says same "Received by Visa Office". :o :o :o :o

Any suggestion?

Hello GTE439U

My ecas status is still in process and I received the passport request through email.

In addition my ecas status was still RCVO when i received my medical. It changed to "In process" the very next day.

Thanks

I am just just relieved after 5 months I see received by visa office. Now you are saying that it will take 7 more months ..
I would still be contended thinking that we are fast track .. earlier this process used to take 4 years.

Hello

Congratulation! and a quick question for you.

Did you submit 35mm x45mm size photo's or did you submit the 2" x2" photo's when submitting the passport.

Thanks

Congratulations to you too, sagarmatha! You're almost there....

I submitted 35mm x 45mm size. You should find the instruction links in your passport request letter. Here are the links included in mine:

http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/buffalo/imm/Photographs_Photographies.aspx which will direct you to the photo specs here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/photospecs.asp

And the instructions in submitting your passport is here: http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/buffalo/imm/submit_soumettre.aspx

But what's interesting is they only used 1 photo of each of me and my husband. And they returned the other one. But if you're mailing your passport, then I guess better be safe and attach 3 photos. I also even forgot to write my height and eye color at the back of the pic. But no problem at all.

I know earlier the processing time was 4-5 years on avg. but right now it is 12- 15 months. I started my application procedure on January 5th and it is almost 10 months, so looking at the general statistics of the people in this forum, I am a bit worried. :o :o

My timeline is one of the largest with Buffalo under the new rules. If you wanna compare to that, give it extra 2 more months, and they will contact you on Dec 2010, as they did the same with me by contacting me after 7 months from the date of the second AOR.

Good luck.

Hi, I sent my application to Buffalo in October 2009, and exactly October 2010 I got passport request for visa to be stamped ( 12 months). I have seen people that submittted in Nov and Dec that are in the last step. Then yours will come soon. They may transfer your application to a local consulate as our case (it was trasnfer to Detroit) after that transfer only 5 months including medicals...

good luck
