Hello there!
Thanks for sharing this. My friend has applied as a registered nurse and her timeline is very simple:
02/2010, sent appl. to Sydney, NS
03/2010, got AOR
04/2010, got approval from NS
06/04/2010, sent full appl. to Buffalo
still waiting for the 2nd AOR

Based on your experience, she should get the 2nd AOR in this month. We will see.

Thanks!

YAY! I've received our passport request few minutes ago and I am so ecstatic! It was a very fast response! Because Monday is a holiday, I think this Tuesday is the best day to travel to Buffalo and have our passports stamped! Can't contain the happiness! :P ;D ;)
Congrats AvayaLenovo :D ;D. Not sure where you would be coming from and how much time it will take you to reach Buffalo. Just keep in mind that Buffalo accepts in-person only on Tuesdays and Thursdays and that too from 8 AM - 11 AM. So, make sure you get there early in the morning, to avoid the risk of missing out on the time window.

From other's experiences, I believe it has been taking 3-4 weeks at the most. Best case I heard of, was 17 days. Also one of the earliest was of Pasi. But, 3-4 weeks would be safe I guess. But, if you have the option, go in-person.

Pro1, I need your help. Can you please send me a template of the Authority Letter that you used for the PPR? I need it for my wife. Either PM me the contents, or if you have a word doc, send to my personal e-mail. Appreciate your help.

Thanks, garian4u. Wow, it's a long wait. So, yeah, I guess I'll just go there in person. I'll be coming from Chicago and the airfare and hotel rates are pretty steep. But if that would give us peace of mind, then I'll probably consider the option.

If I would get my passport stamped on Tuesday (Oct 12) ---- this means that it took me exactly 12 months to complete my application process. Our papers were received by CIO on October 13 last year. This is a very nice gift for me & my husband - we will be celebrating our 12th year anniversary on October 13.

Not exactly trying to crush any anniversary celebrations plans ;) But, if the fares look bad, you may try the next Tuesday. Fares were like 1000+ for me from Seattle for Oct 12th, so I have now opted for Oct 19th. I will be going for the in-person option on that Tuesday. If you are coimg that day, maybe we can meet up :) My journey had crossed 12 months when I got PPR. CIO had my papers on Sep 28th 2009. But, then I faulted by delaying my papers to Buffalo, because of the delay in the FBI cert.

You are too funny. ;D

It would be nice to meet up with you then, however, I'm taking advantage of the Columbus day which is holiday for me. So I can travel that day and be early the next day. I also have the option to use my miles instead of paying for airfare...let's see what would work out best. I will let you know if my plans change. ;)

Congrat AvayaLenovo,

I'm still waiting for the FBI to come as the final documents, so that I won't have PPR soon enough. Did your Ecas status change to Med RCVD??
