Congrat Sidcan, have a wonderful "landing" trip, keep on posted to help member here ;)

@PASI or members

When do we suppose to send RIGHT OF LANDING FEE after getting medical. Can we do in person in NY or send a certified

cheque? Pls suggest me.

Congrats for your success.

Congratulations Sidcan.
By the way, how many photos did they keep.
For me they pasted one photo on each COPR and returned the rest.
Anyone with similar experiences?

Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie here. Just like most of you, I'm still waiting for my visa. Here's my timeline:
Application sent to/received by NS - October 13, 2009 (FSW - 0111)
File transferred to Buffalo - December 10, 2009
Sent full application to Buffalo - February 2010
AOR Received - April 2010
Waiting...waiting...waiting...

I followed up last week and I was told that it would take up to 64 weeks for them to process a file. I wonder why in Buffalo it's taking so long, while in my home country, it took them less than 1 year to get their visa (9 months average)...and this is consistent to all. :( I should've applied to my home country instead. I'm worried that my visa here in the US would expire and yet my Canada PR remain in process...

Congrats for your success.

I was asked to pay the RPRF along with my medical receipts. I am not sure if we can go and pay it directly in NY. I sent it as a cashiers check.

I hope someone could answer my question:
Why is it that files from Buffalo are being transferred to other offices? Is this the procedure? I apologize for the ignorance, but from other applicants I know (well, they didn't actually apply in Buffalo), after the AOR from the visa office, they receive the medical request. Thank you in advance.

Buffalo transfers the files to other visa offices just to speed up the processing. The volume of applications in Buffalo is very high and they are not able to handle it all alone.

Thank you so much, Pasi for the clarification. :)
