I was asked to pay the RPRF along with my medical receipts. I am not sure if we can go and pay it directly in NY. I sent it as a cashiers check.

Thanks PASI for your input.

So basically they will let us know when to submit the RPRF FEE right?

Congrats Sidcan!

If I remember correctly from qorax, he mentioned that RPRF can be submitted anytime, but he recommended the earlier the better. For me, I will follow exactly the requirement and wait until they ask which is after med request done.

Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie here. Just like most of you, I'm still waiting for my visa. Here's my timeline:
Application sent to/received by NS - October 13, 2009 (FSW - 0111)
File transferred to Buffalo - December 10, 2009
Sent full application to Buffalo - February 2010
AOR Received - April 2010
Waiting...waiting...waiting...

I followed up last week and I was told that it would take up to 64 weeks for them to process a file. I wonder why in Buffalo it's taking so long, while in my home country, it took them less than 1 year to get their visa (9 months average)...and this is consistent to all. :( I should've applied to my home country instead. I'm worried that my visa here in the US would expire and yet my Canada PR remain in process...

Hey AvayaLenovo,
Welcome to the waiting club.

To better track our status and be informed regarding the time-lines i am compiling a list of our friends who are sailing in the same boat. All members who applied to CIO in AUG, SEP, OCT, NOV etc please add your names/info to track how things are moving.

it's a good idea but we should open new thread and keep tracking it ourselves. There is too much information in this 165-page-thread ;).

Congratulations Sidcan.
By the way, how many photos did they keep.
For me they pasted one photo on each COPR and returned the rest.
Anyone with similar experiences?

Thanks Honolulu ! yes they asked for two photos for each member but only used one on each COPR and returned the rest back with passports..I believe we need to bring some pictures with us when we land and can use the same ones..when and where are you planning to land?

Thanks sidcan
Planning to land in december in toronto

Good luck with December in Toronto ;). I have been visiting Toronto in March 2009 and I just couldn't get used to the freaking cold wind chill, and a lot of snow :-s

smallduck...get used to it coz from coming winter you will be spending rest of your life over there... :D

That is correct. You can either send your RPRF to the visa office along with your full documents or wait for them to ask and send it along with the medicals. I would suggest you to wait and send it when they ask for it.
