There is great news to share... Today my attorney forwarded LA office email requesting me to send the Passport for stamping. It is a great surprise to me. Thank you all for supporting me during my journey. I appreciate your help.

Hi, Karsatjaya, thank you very much for your wishes, very glad to here good news here, you are very lucky your file transfer to LA. I am still waiting for my medical request, buffalo office no updates at all. I think most of the VOs there are on holidays, i have been waiting for almost a year.


But at any ways, there are so many members here are playing the same patient game like me.

Guys...any news from NYVO...seems like LA as well London VO have started sending PPRs which they told to expect in early Jan 2011.

I even had not received anything that says indicates that my interview is waived, and still I received PPR. So, I think as long as all the process is moving timely, it doesn't matter what ur e-cas is showing.

I really wish NYVO start sending their pending PPR. Good luck to you all.

I will send mine around Dec. 23-24.

I heard that permanent residents of Canada can work in USA without H1B visa. Is it right?

To the best of my knowledge "NO". Only canadian citizens can work using TN-VISA which is usually given at the port of entry for a period of 3 years based on an offer letter from a US employer. Canadian PR holders need H1 to work in USA.

Seniors may correct me if I am wrong. I remember having seen somewhere Qorax's comment on this topic.

A Canadian PR card is just good for one thing - working and living in Canada. USA does not recognize this card for any purpose. You need H1-B visa to work in USA (from any country). The PR card is not even good to enter USA. You still need visa to enter USA unless you are from a visa waiver country.
