Hi drahmed,

I and a few other members were exactly in your shoe earlier on in the year, so I know what you are going through and how you feel, confusion, frustration and all. You should ignore your ecas status for now. Your file is still under review and no final determination of eligibility has been made on your file yet. You will receive this by email when the review is completed. It appears that CIO takes longer to complete eligibility review on some files for varying reasons, hence the PER/NER email may come much later than usual. The date you saw on your ecas is most likely the date your eligibility review should have been completed but as it was not completed on that day you didn't receive any PER on the day. However it may not be possible to change this on ecas as it (ecas) was probably programmed to register that date as your PER/NER date. I know how frustrating this is especially when you are getting conflicting messages from ecas and CIO. All you can do is give it more time. Every single one of us who experienced this have now received our PERs. Others who initially received a NER even got a PER on further review. I believe you'll get a response very soon, hang in there buddy ;)

All the best...

9j

thank u so much 9jcanada for your nice response

All you need to do is calm down and wait! :)
Every time you contact them with Case specific e-mails is setting back your and others' application processing times and you have been contacting them a lot!
I agree they seem a bit confused, but every time you contact them a different person gets out the file and has to look over it and decipher what the notes mean and then communicate it to you. This means that sometimes CIo do not give you the corect information when you contact them.
It is best to just let them get on with it!
It is clear from the information that they have already given, though, that your file is safely at CIO and they have been looking at it, as they have given you a file number.
This is obviously valid as you have been able to check ECAS, which is good news.
They clearly have put something on ECAS that is incorrect but ECAS has been wrong for lots of us at times throughout this process, so do not worry! They get it sorted eventually :)
Your application is safe and is just going through the eligibility review. When it is done, they will send this result by e-mail, not normal mail.

Some while after that the status will change on ECAS but not right away, so do not worry if you get the e-mail but ECAS stays the same. It will change eventually.

After that, do not be surprised if you have to wait some weeks until your file is showing as at the Visa office - ours took nearly two months to show as RBVO.
Then expect to wait even longer before ECAS shows you as IN PROCESS. We waited 7 months from PER to IN PROCESS!

The more you contact CIO, the more confused you will be and the more stressed you will get.

The name of the game here is patience and it isn't easy for any of us, but if you keep contacting CIO about your file when there isn't anything wrong you will just make yourself worried and stop the Officers from getting on with your processing.

With CIO, no news is good news at this stage, I think. If they were going to reject you they would have told you with a NER, so be happy.
Be patient and wait and watch ECAS and your e-mail so that you see the change when it comes and can celebrate! :D

thank u queen for your nice support i will wait
regards
dr ahmed

I think he was referring to the rioters when he said 'Who cares'...........So don't read too much into it. Read the post in its entirety and you will understand.

The riots on Monday night included Nottingham which is 20 miles from where I live.

Last night some riots happened in Leicester which is only 8 miles from where I live

Really, I think anil should explain his "who cares" comment!

YES, I did send them enquire email. Look what I got:

Your file is in a queue awaiting initial assessment. This could take up to 64 weeks from the date we received the application.

Due to high volumes, we cannot acknowledge receipt of email, fax, regular correspondence (applications, payments, documents or information) or medical exam results.

If you have recently submitted documents or information to this office, we will update your file accordingly, if needed.

If we require additional documents, we will contact you.

e-Cas is for applications processing within Canada only.

Immigration cases being processed in Visa offices outside Canada use a system different from that used to process similar applications in Canada. As a result, the e-Client Application Status (e-CAS) does not reflect the status of cases being processed in Buffalo.
Do not use the CIC e-Cas on-line change of address system. Your new address will not be downloaded to your file in Buffalo.
