Thx Wayne...

Any ideas if it matters which country you residing in..as if you look in the tracker...then:

EmmaJ (line 234) has received meds whereas others from London VO still are on RBVO??

Hi! The country you reside in, in my opinion, will not affect the length of time it will take for your application to go "In Process".

However, if the country you reside in is a different country to your visa office, then this will likely have an impact on how long it takes to get medical request - since document background checks will take longer across countries. It will also impact take it takes to get PPR/visa, since security background checks will also probably take longer across countries.

My 2 cents.
Wayne.

Schedule 1 is the background declaration - which you list all your education and employment and addresses etc. CHC London send their medical requests in the form of a checklist, so they can ask for other bits and pieces at the same time.
We were asked for RPRF, medicals, revised Schedule 1 forms for myself and my wife, and updated PCCs for myself and my wife.
I am guessing that asking for updated Schedule 1s is either fairly standard practice at London, or it's because I notified them very case-specific query of a change in my company name so they probably want to get that in writing from us, hence maybe why they are asking for updated Schedule 1s.
To be honest, the updated Schedule 1s were only a matter of a small amendment on mine and then re-print, so about 5 minutes work.
What was more annoying was having to get updated PCCs, and ACPO are being quite slow over this period of public holidays. Still waiting for my wife's PCC and we sent the requests over 3 weeks ago. Hoping it arrives today or tomorrow.

Thanks, we didnt get the Schedule 1 update. We are sending our stuff today. Our meds were posted to London on Friday last. Best of luck for your PCC. Cheers

Cool. Did you get a reply label in with your med requests? (Seems most people did not).

Are you sending the stuff to 38 Grosvenor Square or 1 Grosvenor Square?

hi.is it true that damascus VO will be closed in near future? what is happening to my file ,it shows RBVO still.please ??? so tell me what is going on???

It seems Damascus visa office doesn't work any more according to the Syria circumstance. All Quebec booked interviews for June and July in Damascus were canceled. our files are supposed to transfer to other visa offices or wait till finishing syrian demonstrations.

We are exctly on the same boat.
I have been calling for any news from somebody in Damascus visa office in this forum but i received no answer untill today.
I think asoo's case in the last update from Damascus which mentions medicals have been sent to Paris but not the file as she indicated.
I appreciate if you could kindly inform others regarding any update from Damascus VO activities.

Bahman

I've heard no news regarding any "Damascus" closure. I have heard that some applications were to be transferred to Warsaw but my understanding was that this was just for workload reasons.

Will try to keep my eye out for official news on this - but where did you hear this rumour?

Wayne.

I didn't hear anything confirming that Damascus VO is closing. Thats why I asked Asoo earlier if the file has been transferred to Paris as well and she said the file is not transferred.
Officially we have no confirmation that Damascus visa office ingoing to be closed, but I have noticed very slow pace in processing the files during last month. (Actually I asked you once why some information in front of my name are in red - which I didn't receive any answer)

But this might be something notable:
