Rob.

Hi Rob,

We were asked to take the original passports and a photocopy too....the ohoto copy is attached with the medical summary sheet by the DMP....the original will be returned to you once u finish ur medicals...

Thanks,

Shareen

If your DMP is Delhi you do not require negative. They use digital camera to take your photo before taking X Ray.

yes you require 5 copies of your photo. Only negative is not required

Hi Grasshopper,

Thanks a lot for your valuable advice, wanted to know one more thing , did you submit 5 negative of the black & white photo during your medicals.

I"m planning to send the passport after the medicals (god willing by March 17th), as I belive the VO would keep our passport under safe custody until a decision is made.

Regards
Bindu

All the best, hope that you get your Visas soon....

Can you please mention the specifics of the medical exams.

thanks
Thanks....Medical Examinations were pretty simple...not many forms to fill ..(all we had to fill in was name , file number and etc)
it started with physical examination in which the doctor asked some basic questions about health history (like allergies or any surgeries etc)...
and then performed a basic physical check up like blood pressure and heart beat etc ...which was followed by the blood test , urine test and chest x ray ...
later the receptionist gave us the receipts and told us they would be sending the reports to new delhi the next day and would contact only if there were any abnormalities...thats about it and the whole thing took one and half hour ...
Uzma.

Congrats to the new PER , AOR and Med request recievers, God bless you with a smooth and fullfilling stay in Canada

Bindu

I'd like to see them try that here in the UK. They'd be breaking the Data Protection Act so hard you'd never get all the pieces up..... ;)

Wayne.

I agree with Wayne that probably that isn't legal & I doubt the information the bank officer provided.. Sometimes they provide faulty information out of ignorance of the right procedures.. I have faced similar situations before in the banking section.

Hi Pun123,

Thanks for the quick update, I'll call up the DMP office and check if they would follow the same process as in Delhi

Regards
Bindu

does the ECAS status change after Medicals and Residency fee request are sent?

Thanks

hi nitroxin,
When Visa Offices receive the application & send 2nd AOR it usually changes to "received by visa office",
when they start processing (send Medical requests, do background checks...etc), it usually changes to "in process" :)

best regards,
basmalahh

Dear Rob

For ND applicants it is mandatory to take the original PP for verification purpose ...... and I assume it will be same with DMPs all over the world ;) .... You are supposed to bring one photocopy also to be attached with the MR.

Cheers, Anil
