Hi. I changed the colour for PPR on the tracker sheet because that bright orange was giving me a headache! ;) I think if we try to stick with pastel colours it will be more easily readable.

Also I added PPR and PPR% columns to the VO Summary.

Dear Fighter,
Are your ecas showing the last line as:
"your application was reviewed and started processing on it on 22nd feb 2011."
may be again some bug with the ecas.
Arasah

Yes man...it says:

We received your application for permanent residence on August 5, 2010.

Medical results have been received.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on November 23, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application was reviewed and we started processing on February 24, 2011.

I completely disagree. CIO very clearly says that the FINAL eligibility review has been done. Otherwise it would be called the Penultimate Eligibilty Review!

The ECAS status "Visa office eligibility review complete" almost certainly relates to the old system and it's possible/probable that the ECAS system itself has not been modified to house the new system. Therefore if ECAS is changed to say "Visa office eligibility review complete" for anyone it is probably just the background checks.

And given that recently everyone's ECAS now says once again that medicals have been received, it's fair to say that we cannot trust ECAS as far as we can throw it.

Please remember CIO and CHC offices are still ALL CIC (Citizenship and Immigration Canada). I strongly believe that if they found someone eligible at a stage where they could otherwise receive a refund, sent it to their satellite office and then decided the person was not eligible, with no information altered between the two, but pocketed all of the processing fee anyway, then one would have a very strong case for procedural unfairness against CIC. I do not believe they would get away with it, in short.

Once your final eligibility review at CIO is passed IMO visa office CANNOT fail your application for reasons of NOC duties not matching or not having 67 points etc. Only if they did an employment verification check and the results were unconvincing, or something along similar lines, could they fail your application prior to medical requests IMO.

So any "eligibility review" done at visa office is very poorly worded, since really they refer to background checks.

IMO if kpkinnera did indeed receive a NER from visa office then he should query this immediately. It may simply be a mistake (we know CIC make enough of them). If they say it is not a mistake, are they going to issue a refund? If not then IMO they are guilty of extortion.

Finding someone eligible at CIO, and then NOT eligible with exactly the same information at VO = a rather immoral way of CIC to pocket all the application fees.

Wayne.
hey wayne,
what is your opinion about the total process described in the link?
https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/redir.do?redir=app_perm_wrkr&lang=en&app=ecas

they are mentioning "eligibility review" thing in both CIO and VO stages ::)

you can send details of all new changes when your E-cas starts to show "Received by VO"
No need to wait for 2nd AOR letter from VO.(just wait until your VO receives your application package)

what if it says "We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on January 31, 2011."
Does it mean they have sent you a rejection letter or what?

I had the same problem of sending correspondence coz i got my PER 2 days ago but because it says that future correspondence can be sent to VO, I am going to send it now to the VO including my UCI and file number. I think its best to send it to VO but i am no expert on it. :)

I think as Wayne stated earlier in his comment, the VO eligibility review is poorly worded - I agree though I guess these interventions mentioned in the link above will probably remain as is.

That's right I got a PER by Email on that date but I am wondering what this letter they mention contains? As it seems to be a real letter other than the Email. Or maybe we just have to ignore Ecas notes instead of trying to interpret it, and wait to see what comes next. ::)
