Those are a list of ECAS stages, they are not the process according to the operating manual.

My personal belief is that they have not upgraded ECAS to incorporate the new system, hence this "VO eligibility review complete" nonsense which IMO just refers to background checks prior to med requests being issued.

Wayne.

Hey Wayne,

Any idea what happens at the VO after 2nd AOR is sent ? Though they don't mention about another eligibility review in the AOR its surprising that few applications r rejected at the VO stage for reasons which were cleared by CIO... ???

Shareen

KP,

All copies of the documents which are sent to the VO are required to be notarized. So, please get that done before sending in the update request.

DarKnight

No, they don't have to be notarized. I also have to send to my VO the copy of my daughter's new passport. I asked VO if the copy has to be notarized and they answered that there is no need. i can send the copy by e-mail (scan) or just fax it.

Well, I can prove this theory wrong. I am an Indian national currently living in Ireland and my VO is London. I can check my Ecas since day one of my PER.

True, sorry, the theory is wrong, what is that then? if not COB :-\

Did you guys write CIO about this? If yes, did you get a response?
I'm still waiting for an answer to my email.

and in details it shows...

We received your application for permanent residence on August 26, 2010.

Medical results have been received.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on December 15, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

I don't know about other applicants, but we didn't write anything to CIO. Our apps were submitted by the representative office/consultant , so we would write to reps first.
At this stage we will simply wait and check ecas once again if further notification is forwarded to us from CIO.

MY theory is that either:
A) there is an error in data input ( either the consulting firm have misspelled something or CIO did the same, therefore something doesn't match ).
B) it's a glitch in the system that randomly affects some applicants, regardless of all other factors.

@ Indira,

Thanks for reply.

My e-cas was updated on 25 Feb, 2011.

There is one member also in our forum whose is in same condition like me. Only difference is that in my e-cas the address shown is of my consultant as i filed my old file via consultant but in his case his address is shown in e-cas even he also applied old file with consultant.

What do you think on it...??? why there is difference ?

Mayank

Hi Mayank,

Yes, AFAIK CIC will have just 1 file number for a person, irrespective of the number and type of applications he/she initiates. So, i'm fairly sure your application number will remain the same. May be they will use your address as mentioned in your latest application for correspondence on your latest application. You may still get a new E00 number, in case your earlier number was B05XX.

When the new application's status shows received, i guess it's past the completeness check now.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Well CB, it would have been a dull old weekend for all those who DON'T watch cricket or hockey, if you hadn't shared your great news. May a guardian angel always fly with you. Congratulations.
