That's right I got a PER by Email on that date but I am wondering what this letter they mention contains? As it seems to be a real letter other than the Email. Or maybe we just have to ignore Ecas notes instead of trying to interpret it, and wait to see what comes next. ::)

well irrespective of whether its a mail or email....they use the word letter :)....but the ecas is always a step behind so far.....:D

My latest ecas!!!

We received your application for permanent residence on October 14, 2010.

Medical results have been received.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on February 09, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Wow CB! A passport request already! Congratulations mate, this means you could very well be the first one of us to get the maple leaf.

I honestly love this forum! There is always something going on to excite everybody. ;D ;D ;D

Hi Seniors and All
I want to send you my son Renewal passport to Visa Office. before Mr.Wayne clarify this but one more doubt i have should notarization the passport copy before sending to Visa Office?

Wayne,Anil and Indira your suggestions also required for me. please respond.

Regards

The AOR's no where says that the documents or changes need to be notorised.

Any way as post 26 June you would be submitting the passports (Old and new) with the Medical request ( as per the pattern received by CB) I do not think notorised would make any difference here.

Important thing is the moment you have the new passport, inform the VO so that your records are updated.

This thread crossed 1122 pages....

1122 is first NOC to reach CAP out of 29..................

NOC 1122 also reported the first medical, passport and fee request.......

Congratulations CB :)

You've paved the way for us to follow... I just hope everyone here gets it too.

Thanks,
DarKnight

KP,

All copies of the documents which are sent to the VO are required to be notarized. So, please get that done before sending in the update request.

It confirms the theory - if your COB is different from your country of residence and your Visa office, ur application wont be recognized on ecas. Olga64's VO is Paris !
Well, I can prove this theory wrong. I am an Indian national currently living in Ireland and my VO is London. I can check my Ecas since day one of my PER.

Congrats CB!!

Did u apply under arranged employment?

hey wayne,
what is your opinion about the total process described in the link?
https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/redir.do?redir=app_perm_wrkr&lang=en&app=ecas

they are mentioning "eligibility review" thing in both CIO and VO stages ::)
Please note that this page was updated on 05 aug 2010

Those are a list of ECAS stages, they are not the process according to the operating manual.

My personal belief is that they have not upgraded ECAS to incorporate the new system, hence this "VO eligibility review complete" nonsense which IMO just refers to background checks prior to med requests being issued.

Wayne.

Olga64's VO is Paris !

Sorry to disagree with you mate. My COB is different from my country of residence and VO. Yet, my application is duly recognised on ecas.

I'm in the same boat. My VO is different from my country of birth and cannot log into e-cas.
I sent an email to CIO about 12 days ago regarding this issue , no response yet.
