5 min ago I received an email from Ottawa which contains my file number and medical request.
It says average processing time of CEC in Ottawa is 10 months.
Buffalo received my file on Oct 17, 2011.

Yes I did :)
You are fast Rod! ;)
today I received my file number and medical forms for my CEC applucation.
But in CEC it is not as fast as FSW after medical because in CEC they send medical with file number at first step. After that it takes time to start ptocessing the application and even requesting more documents.
It means I will stay here for long time.
Hopefully we all receive our visa together soon :)

Cam, I am waiting for a good news from your side ;)

Cam,

If it serves you any, according to my attorney when your file gets transferred means certain milestone has been completed on your app. I would say that if you are not one of the transferred you wouldn't get any info even if they complete that milestone.
In my opinion you have as good of a chance as anyone else that got transferred to complete the process at the same time. We know that buffalo can switch your status from one day to the next to in process and you will get MR.

Rod

Thank you Rod for shinning a ray of sunshine on my hopeless situation... maybe they are not transferring my application at all, who knows... They will have to contact me at some stage... I will be here... still standing :)

Mari,

So good to hear from you. I hope the CEC process moves faster for you and you get your visa asap. :) As far as us, my family will go through these hard times and look forward to happy days ahead when we finally meet you and your family in Toronto :)

Take care,
Cam ;D

Re: Buffalo Applicants

Does it really matter if one applied through a consultant/representative/lawyer???
I just wonder how come my other co-workers, who probably applied about a year ahead of me, became PRs in a shorter period than how our applications (post 6/26/2010)...some differences though is that I'm a year late to apply and they applied through a consultant.

any thoughts?
thanks!

Hi Raj

Wait Wait Wait ??? ??? ::) thats what we can do.. its Ditto with me... :) ;D :-X

Any NDVO applicant whose medical was done in January and medical line is updated in the ecase. :o :o :o :o :o

I wouldn't say it matters for the most part. What could make a difference is how well prepared your case is (here is where the consultant comes in handy).
