Hi all! Hope everyone is doing fine. My hearty congrats to whoever has recently got good news. :D

I have a Q; one of our fellow forumers who has completed his Meds on Sep13th,has received today an email from Warsaw asking for the RFRF and the copy of the passports (not the passports themselves). His visa office was originally Damascus and then the file was transferred to Warsaw and is being processed there because of the unrest in Damascus.
Does anyone have some idea on why he has been asked for the copies of the PPs instead of the original PPs?

I have a vague recollection of a Pakistani applicant here whose file was being processed in London. He/she too had been asked for the copies of PPs and if I'm not mistaken he/she had received instructions later to take the original passports to Canadian embassy in Islamabad/Pakistan to get the visa. Does anybody remember the case and the name of the applicant I'm talking about? Did he/she receive the visa?

Your inputs are truly appreciated. :)

Katy

Hi Katy,

You're right. The Pakistan applicants get a request for their RPRFs with a copy of their passports first and then receive a second letter asking them to submit their passports at the CHC in Islamabad for the visa stamping. I guess this is now also being applied to the Damascus/ Warsaw VO. I could be wrong but it may have something to do with the recent security issues in Damascus, although I have no idea as to why they would want applicants to get the passports stamped there. I think at this time it may be safer to send the PPs out to Warsaw.

Again, this is all speculation and we won't have any sure answers until we get more details from the VO or from other applicants who are going through this process. All the best, dear friend!

Hi Wendy

Nice to hear from you dear! :-* It's great to know you have already booked your ticket. Best wishes for a safe move,a smooth landing and a successful life ahead.

Thanks for the reply. I managed to find the Pakistani applicant in question, and yes, he has received his visa. It took about 2.5 months since he was asked for the copies.

As for my friend it's very strange and quite new to Iranians to be asked for copies. Visa issuance in Warsaw for Iranians has been a common practice over the past 2-3 yrs as we have learned now. They may have adopted new strategies for post June26 applicants as this is the first case we know from this category! We have yet to figure out what we should be expecting.Need more data as you said.

Thanks again, :)
Katy

Hi guys
I just came back from a visit to my relatives. Firstly I would like to thank sethiji for his support thru all the tough times of being a AEO applicant(the scrutiny part), Mitali, moabbasi, canadestin, sonir, please mind me if i have missed anybody. Its this forum members who have helped me to remain sane thru all the anxiety during this immigration process. I still have butterflies in my stomach as i have'nt received my passports. I guess my eyes have turned up bigger then my stomach during this whole journey. I convey my utmost gratitude to all of you guys. I request you all to keep our relationship close because its this support during our hard times which we'll remember in our lives
thank you

Hi Guys,

In my CAIPS/GCMS notes I see a paper file number that starts with B as well.
Also in the GCMS notes the status said Application Status reason: 'In Progress', but Application status as 'Open'

Tommy,

Hard to say. Have you received any inquiries from the VO? Most people that applied in your time range have not heard anything from Buffalo and the CAIPS are showing blank. It is interesting they said you are "In Process". I should be getting my CAIPS next week and I will share my info.

Hi Xplorin,

Greetings,
I second xplorin82's opinion. Buffalo sent me a reply saying my application is in process several weeks ago and I received file number starting with B. I think what they mean in my case is it is opened as the file number is available. So it is unlikely that someone has(d) been assigned to work on the eligibility review.

Hey Buffalo's,

I sent in some job change info in July or August and received an email which had a B file number which they said to refer to in any future correspondence. I've always wondered if this is assigned when file arrives at Buffalo or when it goes in process. Anyone have a clue? I also sent off for CAIPS Notes last week and should have them between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I'll fill you guys in when I get back.

Hi Mark,
B number is equal to 2nd AOR. Since Buffalo is not sending 2nd AOR for our batch, the assignment of B number is considered to be a 2nd AOR. Since the second AOR just tell the applicants that their application has been received by a specific visa office and visa office has assigned such and such tracking number or application number. So, in short the B number you suppose to get in 2nd AOR, you have already got it. Now wait for medicals.

Thanks

Buffalo please wake up

From Newbie to Star Member Status....

Application status is still RBVO...desperately waiting for Medical request as my second FBI fingerprint report is expiring.
