I feel you mate! As your consultant suggested, send a polite enquiry making reference to the documents you sent to them and asking if any further documents are required from you.
Best wishes.

Shalom

Thanks Shalom...Best of luck for your PPR mate....

Sonir,
This is a copy of the email I sent to them:

Dear XXXX,
This is to acknowledge the receipt of your email.
I am concerned that my application has suffered ANOTHER setback as a result of ANOTHER loss of documents in your office. I can recall that my baby's application was declared missing in your office in July 2011 although it was later found in your office. That led to some significant delay in the processing of my application. And now, it is my wife's X-ray that is not found. I am very worried about these occurrences and the resulting delay in the processing of my application.
I have contacted the DMP and they are insisting that the parcel sent to you contained both X-ray for my wife and medical for my baby.
However, the hospital where the X-ray was done, has agreed to send another copy of my wife's X-ray (X-ray disc) to the DMP for onward transfer to your office.
I will inform you as soon as the X-ray is dispatched to your office.

Yours sincerely,
Shalom

appreciate your move Shalom

we all r proud of you 8) 8)

warm regards
sonir

Congratulations to everyone who received good news!

And good luck to everyone else.

My dear fellow Buffalo applicants: I received my caips/gcms notes last night. I will post more details later but in short it is a 21 page document and they have pretty much not done anything since the eligibility review which was in feb and then transfer of file to Buffalo office from the CIO.
I am not very pleased to say the least.
My passport was changed by the time supporting documents were sent to Buffalo back at the of the transfer and the caips/gcms print I got shows my previous passport number.
Sorry, wish I had some more useful news to share.

Should we start an OccupyBuffalo protest? :)

This happens to a few applicants myself included. It is most likely a system glitch or input error on the part of CIO. September 28 is probably the date you got your PER email; am I right? Mine also went straight into "In Process" a few days after PER and has remained so ever since. Not to worry, it most likely will not have anything to do with the outcome of your application or the time frame in which it would be processed. You can safely assume that your application is either @ CIO-ERC or RBVO at the moment regardless of what e-cas indicates. In some cases it does revert back to the "normal" status and in others it doesn't. Whichever way, as I said, it has not effect on the outcome and the time frame for your application.

All the best.

Thanks for the reply...

Hi xplorin82:

It just doesn't make any sense... If they have not even opened our applications since receiving them from CIC, then why are some applicants in September and October "In Process" and others not even looked at? Are they tossing a coin up in the air to determine who moves into processing? Has Ralf been temporary removed from his ECAS duties and transferred to Buffalo? Seriously, if they have not looked into any of our applications, why did they decide to process some and not others?

Speechless,
Cam

Hey guys/gals,

Just visitted Buffalo consulate and took a picture of one of the officers... Seems to me this might be the problem.

hi Cam,

IMO they've opened the applications. they provided us with a file number different than the one given by the CIO and we are end of Sep applicants. different backgrounds cause random processing. our time is near Cam.

This I believe,
Alex.

Its usual for Visa Officers to get Fat, Lazy, partly balding and Sleepy. The immigration machine is turned on, the government bank accounts are getting full while he sleeps. They wouldn't care less for a delay or backlog. :D Just kidding!
