With NOC 1122s you have a problem of limited employment prospects in BC. If I can find a job there, that is certainly where I would take my family, the place is beautiful and the climate much better than elsewhere in Canada. With Montreal though, since I speak French, that could open additional doors for employment, now that I know I can live there... thanks to Cay_sha :)

Oh COME ON...who said "the climate is much better than elsewhere in Canada"????? I am incredulous!! Quebec must be spending a bundle on PR these days.... LOL I fully admit my bias being from Vancouver, but reallly!! Where did this information come from? (You have to realize I am saying this with a huge smile on my face, so don't get me wrong.) I met my husband in Montreal on a holiday. It was the end of September and the leaves were incredibly bright and beautiful. Deep, clear blue skies and warm sunshine. Just heaven. After a week the weather changed from balmy, t-shirt days to cooler Fall, need a jacket days and by the time I flew back to Vancouver on 17 October it had begun to snow! Winters can be harsh and summers hot and humid. Spring and Fall are brief respites inbetween, unlike the West where there are four distinct seasons lasting months. For me Montreal was a magic place, but it had good reason to be, and I hope all who choose to visit or make it their home will have the same good luck. I've been married for 33 years now!

Hi Shareen:

I have already started a group for people landing in the Toronto region. I believe we are about 15 people. We are hoping to meet in Toronto, every now and then, and help each other with everything we have to go through... from legal docs we need, to employment, to securing a residence, info on schools, etc.

If anyone is interested to join, please in-box me with your email address and I will put you on the list. Glad you brought this up Shareen :)

Yes Wayne, It is still 'In Process'. After clicking on In Process, it says - Your app was received on sept 20.
I was hoping it should have been updated to - CIO review complete like others but it isnt.

Hi,

Mine is also "In Process" ... do we also have others like us in the forum, any idea? This is seriously quite a frustrating thing >:(

Hi all, Just now I am enjoying happy feeling of getting PER. Please turn me blue. My first 3 characters are E00. Cheers ;D ;D ;D

I'm giving a hand on the OCT applicants :)

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Yeah by all means :) I can't really do this at work so can only do it when I get time at home.
So if any admins get a spare second, here's what to do:

1) Get yourself a shortcut on your Internet Browser to the "Search for members" page, since you'll be clicking it quite a lot:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/index.php?action=mlist;sa=search
2) Search for the member name and hit "Search"
3) Select the correct member name (sometimes several names appear since this is a substring search)
4) Go to the bottom of the member details and select "Show the last posts of this person"
5) Look at the last dated post for this thread. You may have to go down a few posts if their most recent posts were on other threads. If >1 month ago find the user on the spreadsheet, mark in Red and add the last date posted
6) Whilst you're at it also check the posts of this person to see when they last told us their ECAS status has changed and amend the "eCAS Status Date Last Updated" field if applicable

I did the first 100 rows at the weekend, so any spare assistance would be appreciated :) Owing to its time-consuming nature we probably only want to be doing this a couple of times per month.
Thanks,
Wayne.

Unless your application in genuinely "In Process" and they are preparing your medical request as we speak. Then I imagine the situation is somewhat less frustrating ;)

OK m8 thanks for helping out. I guess we just need to communicate so we don't overlap and double the workload ;)

But I will leave it for a few days and see where you get to by the end of tomorrow, and I can finish off afterwards if you didn't get chance to finish them all.

I suggest we try to do this in the middle of the month (like now) and again at the end of the month - then it will get audited about twice per month :)

Wayne.
