Hi all,

As I mentionned before my ecas status mentions that a decision was made on march 09th and a letter was sent, but I actually have not received any letter (PER or NER).

I have just received a response to my case specific inquiry (20 day-time frame). Here is what is says:

Good morning,

The E-CAS system gives false information regarding the status of your file. No decision was made regarding your file. I would like to confirm that the letter was not sent to this point.

Thank you.

Is anyone familiar with this kind of messages? What does that mean??? For me the e-cas status was making sense since it matched the dates the other forum/spreadsheet members (who submitted their request on the same date as me) received their PER??

Now I am really lost ...... Do you think I should contact VO instead?
Please Help ???

I am very afraid for such kind of alart.
What may have, what they want to do, what documents will I bring, where it may take place, overall what kind of question can thay ask me???
I am very very worried.
Friends, pl. help me on this matter to overcome successfully.

I got first access on friday 1st April...Bo5.....

What does ur ecas says?

Have they given you an interview date? It may be worth ordering CAIPS notes, from which you might be able to derive the reason for the interview. Likely to take 4 to 6 weeks for those to arrive though.

And I got access on March 09th (E00).
I waited something llike a week and then decided I should send a case specific query on March 17th.
And today I received the message that I wrote previously....

I am completely lost!!!!

Well, I'm a July 2010 applicant, and if I don't get my visa by August 2011 that will be very disappointing for me. I'm planning to pursue a PhD degree once I arrive to Canada and already got admission and fellowship offers from 3 Canadian universities. I need the immigration visa before next fall semester in order to catch-up.

Hi guys I see there are a couple of people in the same boat as I am so I have decided to post the reply I got from CIO this morning.

"Good Morning

The E-CAS system is a computer updated system and as such, at times, contains erroneous information. Please note: No letter has been sent, you file is still awaiting assessment. You will be contacted by our office upon completion of the assessment of your file.
Thank you "

This is so frustrating but I've decided not to worry about the whole PR thingy anymore. I already live in Canada so even if it takes them a year just to send a PER, I'm in.

PS - my application was received 29th december and they claimed a letter was sent to me on march 10. And i noticed most people whose application were received around christmas time all have the same problem (check the tracker and this forum to understand what I mean). That to me is much more than just coincidence. On a lighter note,If I knew, i would have waited till january after their hangover symptoms were over ;D
