Application sent off! Breathing a HUGE sigh of relief!

We finally got my application for Permanent residency sent off this evening! I can't even tell you what a huge relief it is! The postmaster peeved me off a little bit though by insisting that we could fit it all into an Xpress Post Envelope when I would have much preferred to send it in a box. But oh well, we squeezed everything in, and I guess there's less chance of things getting mixed up in transit.

On Monday I have to go back to the Border and show them proof of everything they asked for, such as marriage certificate, photos of the wedding, proof of payment, proof of sending the application, and our copy of the application itself. Once we've gotten that done, I will be one happy girl. I cracked open a bottle of Spiced Rum tonight in celebration of finally getting all the paperwork out of my hair/hands/home, but the hubby insists that we wait until we get through the whole border rigmarole before we truly celebrate lol.

Now, we sit and wait. But, it's sent! Woohooo!!

Only 3 more days till the test is over ...you will be fine .

I think everyone here understands the relief it feels to get it all off finally.

The partner who does most of the work on it, I think feels it much more than the other partner. I really don't think my husband quite understood exactly how I felt to have it actually gone! Sure the waiting now really starts to happen, but you've done the best you can and pulled together so much information and worried about it so much, the relief I feel about not having to read it one more time, just in case, or go through it one more time, or should I add one more thing to it - its just immense.

Got mine sent off yesterday too and while its a relief the worrying has already started for me

Was it enough info? Was it all correctly filled out? Will they want an interview? Will there be issues? etc etc

FHRocker, I totally know how you feel lol. I was the same way as soon as the postmaster took the envelope out of my hands! But I don't think worrying is going to do us any good at this point. We just have to sit and wait now and hope for the best!

Definitely! So nice to hear someone else say it aswell. I think also that my partner does not have half a clue how HUGE (yes immense) of a project it is. I am also SOOO relieved we finaly sent off the papers this week! (haha sorry kinda pointless thing to add, but just nice to read something so recognizable)
But yes .. now the waiting and hoping it all goes well and gets accepted asap! :
